I rarely ever see a Redline on this forum.
+1, i'd kill for a redline! It's eons away from nagayro red.

Nothing personal negaro red owners...I just like redline better! My car's color is a little dull imo.

I wouldnt spend 30k for a 350 Nismo! They are nice but they arent new. I see them for sale on Ebay and other sites for around $24k! Now that might be private sellers or so but depending on the person they might have taken better care of it with 5-10k miles on it than one thats on the lot with 2k miles on it! I remeber how I was on my test drive. Drove it hard with the salesman with me laughing. Then when I got back I ordered my 06.

NO doubt that most of the 350z's, Nismo's 350z's , 370 and 370z Nismo's get Romped on when taken out for test drives. Most trest drives are with the Salesman which still doesn't provide a casual driving experience.

I recall my 1st experience test driving a Z. I was down in Waldorf MD visiting family. I had my Acura RSX-S that I was ready to trade in for a Z. We pulled out of the lot. Did some around town driving. Then the salesman and I went down a long Straight back road.

Told me to pull over and allow the traffic to pass. He wanted me to know exactly what I was buying!! Had me pull out and do a hard drag run with the car. lol On the way back told me to smash the brake pedal. My heart was racing.

I was lucky to Test drive my car with 8 miles on it. Those 8 miles were from taking it down to the State plaza for the annual car show! Which it was roped off.

Go ahead and buy a Nismo for 24K... I dare you! See what Romped on POS you end up with.... lol

I was fortunate enough to be allowed to take the car out myself. When i returned I put a deposit on it. I was SOLD! Fell for the car hard.

My car currently has 7800 miles on it. None of which are anything like Prom night with a RWD sports car! I do some mountain runs once in awhile but thats what the car is ment for.

Well by your own words then at a dealership you beat on the car during the test drive. You dont think that happens alot? Especially a Nismo! So buying one from an elderly gentleman with 8k miles on it for $24 doesnt look that bad. Now if it has 15k miles on it and some young kid is selling it to buy something else I admit, I would be wiery! You would be a fool to spend $30k for a 2 or 3 year old car! I like the Nismo 350 but thats crazy!

First of all, I don't plan on paying 30K for a Nismo and those that are on ebay for 24K aren't from Nissan dealers either...they have been auctioned or are from Brokers. Not saying not to buy from them but I would like to go with a Nissan Dealer where i can get warranties, etc.

Second, I don't know what dealerships are near you guys but they don't let anyone just drive vehicles....This one actually is on the showroom floor so I don't think I'lll have that to sweat.

Yeah the 35th anni was on the showroom floor til I asked to test it. And yes I agree, they dont let anyone take a test drive. Just anyone who comes in and asks! I have never been turned down for a test drive. But I have never gone over the top either. (m3,m5, lambo, ect) I pull in in my Z, they ask to photo copy my drivers liscense and off we go! (me and a salesman) And everytime the salesman never says a word no matter how hard I run it! As for warranties I lost that when I started modding! Warranties are a big scam anyway!!!!! If you want a false sense of security buy the extended warranty.

I really don't car about the extended warranty but it nice to know that I'm covered initially. All cars are driven hard from the beginning. My buddy is a car hauler and he runs them when he is loading them. I really don't care about that either....It's gonna blow or it's not. All 5 of my bikes get ridden hard and they are still here and if they blow they blow.

I'll punch it tomorrow just for you....

Wow thats the Northeastern personallity that we mid a guys deal with all the time. I was simply stating facts. Dont take it personally. All cars on the lot are driven harder than ones that are ordered for a specific customer. If an elderly gentleman order a Nismo and put 10k babied miles on it and kept it in a heated garage I would buy that car in a minute over a car on a lot with 2k or 3k of test drive miles on it! They are out there. Dont settle. Remember it doesnt matter if you buy from a dealer or a private person you get the remander of the warranty just like you bought it new yourself. But the stealerships will simply blame you for what ever issue your car might come accross. Save your money and put it in a savings account. When something happens (if ever depending on how you drive it or what you put on it) take it to a specialty shop (350z,G35) in your area and have them repair it. It will be done right the first time. Good luck with your quest, hope you get a perfect car at a great price. I wish I would have waited a year and got a Nismo.

I ordered my 06. I actually thought about getting IF. If it always looked like yours in the pic I would have. I have never seen it in that light I guess. Always looked more purple to me. Again, nice ICE!

Yeah. I didn't get to punch it but did get to sit in it and get a feel for comfort. I loved it....the color was exactly what I wanted so....the sticker price at the dealership was $32,069..(KBB was $34,500) I printed off the Edmunds TMV which was Certified $28,500....So, I haggled it down to $28,000 with a few extras....upgraded intake..tinted windows...warranty stuff...my son a diecast...lol

pick it up when weather breaks.
