The first modification I want to do is to get an Exhaust. I heard that some exhaust will not fit a Nismo because of different body style, it can only fit the regular 350z. Is this true?

I am trying to find an exhaust system that has the exact or bigger size as the Nismo exhaust stock tips, with a nice aggressive sound, but will pass inspection... anyone have any ideas, or links of exhaust for the Nismo, or pictures? This would be really helpful. Thank you.

 

Go to bottom of main page left side, you will see display options it says show from, click it then click last year. Then search and you will see all kinds of strange and wonderful things about exhaust systems for our cars!

 

There's a whole section of aftermarket exhausts for our cars on the nismo part of the forum. just look. There are even pictures of the exhaust on the car. search is your best friend on here

 

The real question is - will *any* exhaust look good considering the bumper, I had an Apexi WS2 on for a while - looked like ****.

Any exhaust will fit....not just any exhaust will look good though.

 

i believe that some exhaust may require you to shave a part of the diffuser

 

i had the stillen exhaust on my car for a while. It didnt fit properly. Our bumper sits farther back than stock. the tips did not work and melted the plastic defuser on the bumper. plus the exhaust hit the sway bar really bad. really the worst exhaust ever and a waste of money. i have fast intentions on the car now and it works great, they custom made it a little bit longer to fit with the rear bumper.
