Anyone bought a Nismo lately?
I am looking at possible picking up a Nismo and have contacted several dealers. However, the dealers are not budging on price. I looked at one that was listed at $30,995 and they came down to $29,915. Another one was listed at $27,995 and they came down $100. I would think with the 370z out they would be more willing to play ball and negotiate. Just wondering if anyone has bought/shopped recently and what their experience was, thanks.
28K has been the average now for sometime. If your serious snap it up. I would advice waiting till November when they will be alittle more motivated to move it off their lot.
I have to say that the Nismo 350z is still a step up from a Base 370z or even an enthusiast. Also, the Nismo 370z is no Gem... They may have tuned some extra HP out of it, but lacked on the brakes & suspension.
If I owned a 370z their would be a scrap pile of stock parts in the 1st month of ownership! I would have an extensive list of upgrades to do before I would be satisfied with that car.
But hey thats just IMO!

Couldn't agree with you more actually...
I originally was looking at the 370z (sports pkg.) But I think the Nismo 350z will better suit my needs as a weekend car/track toy. I test drove a 40th anniversary edition and noticed absolutely no difference in power and acceleration. The Nismo 350z also felt a little bit more stiff/tighter. The whole high oil temp issue and limp mode of the 370z is also a big turn off. Lastly, I prefer the looks of the Nismo 350z over the 370z. Figured the $5k+ price difference would be much better spent improving the Nismo down the road. Looks like I'll be waiting for winter to come and see what kind of deal I can find.

Bought my 07 nismo this past July 4th from a private seller in AL. 07 very clean. Perfect condition 4500 miles 27k out the door. I've loved it since. Now has 6000 miles
If u like the car ****** it up. They're not gonna get much cheaper, cheapest I've found is from private sellers.

I purchased an 08 PPW with 11k miles miles on it meticulously maintained for 26k a few months ago. I had to purchase another one because mine was totaled and I was kind of rushed and only wanted a white one like I had. My insurance gave me over 30k for mine which had 14k miles on it, so I would say that finding one around 25 - 29k would be a decent deal if it is in great condition.
I agree about waiting till late in year. I found my '08 the last part of Nov. 2008 and delt with them a couple weeks. It had 1,100 miles only. They started out wanting 35,500. I ended up making the deal for 31,000. It was kinda cool because I knew the car so I just did my dealings via email. Was able to avoid all the sales BS until sealing the deal for the price I requested once they agreed to it through email.
