Default Front Bra?

I have been looking around the internet for a bra for my 350Z Nismo. I do lots of freeway driving and figured that it would be a good idea. A friend said that he saw a Nismo brand bra on a Z today but unfortunately I wasn't there and don't know how reliable the information is. If anyone can help me find one that would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have never seen one or even knew of anyone who would make one. Much less put one on there nismo. But I know that there are the clear 3m that is made for the nismo. Then you have to find a dealer that sells it and installs it.

I would just do a clear bra, the other ones like to flap, get dirt under them and not allow the paint to fade as the rest of the car fades.

I was wanting a clear bra originally but I bought my car used and unfortunately he never added one so the paint is already kind of messed up in some areas. To get a clear bra added now wouldn't be a good investment and I am not looking to re paint the whole car at the moment. As much as I would hate it, I was looking for a hideous black leather bra type just for the freeway

my nismo is a DD and I have a clear bra on it. The clear bra is like 4 years old and is on a white car so part of it is a slight shade off from the white on the rest of the car. Most people do not notice, but I do and will be replacing soon. I do not have any rock chips and am very happy with the bra. I highly recommend it.

I had one of these bras on my Z and it looked good. I got a new bumper so it dosnt fit anymore so I sold it. I have had these bras on 3 cars and they are very good. They dont flap and I have never had one leave any marks. The only problem is going to be if you have a lip, them you wont find any that fit. http://www.colgancustom.com/

I had a clear bra installed at the time of purchase (new vehicle). I have mixed feelings about it. My Nismo is a DD and I frequent the freeway. It is important to remember that it prevents road rash from SMALL debris, but will not protect against rocks and larger debris, especially when traveling at highway speeds. After 30K miles, I do not have that hazing, or rough-feeling paint on the front lip/bumper that you would get without the bra, but I do have several cuts and nicks where rocks and larger objects hit the bra, cut through it, and damaged the paint. So it prevents the paint from looking like crap as a whole, but it will not keep your font end perfect. Is that worth the $500-800 dollars for the bra when you can probably paint your front end for the same price? That's your call.

On a side note, splattered bugs seem to marr the surface of the clear bra pretty badly and I have had a really tough time maintaining it. I made the mistake of putting a little too much elbow grease into scrubbing it one day and actually scratched the clear bra. I didn't even know that was possible. My Nismo is black, so after all this and 30k miles of driving, my paint looks good, minus where larger rocks hit it, but the clear bra looks like $hit, especially in the sun.

If I were to do it all over again and get another clear bra, I would also want the entire hood protected; that's where most of my rock chips currently reside.

Get the MANZIER or a BRO...

Jk - you may want to get you bumper re-spayed. OEM paint on our Z's is horseshyte. I would use 3M clear film on your whole bumper and lower hood.

I also own a black Nismo which I had a 3M clear bra installed. Although I'd never install a conventional bra, I do have mixed feelings about clear bra. I originally installed it after finding out how bad bugs stain the garbage factory clear coat (bumper only, probably due to flex additive in the clear). I had to have the front bumper buffed a few times before I installed the clear bra just to remove the bug staining. Come to find out, my $650 clear bra gets stained just as bad. Like Nismo1543, maintaining it is a *****. Probably because I'm a little OCD with my car.

I'd say drive it as it is. Maybe keep a little distance from vehicles ahead of you and get it repainted down the road if necessary. Mainly because all you can do is protect the hood with the kind of bra you're looking for.

I plan on getting a clear bra installed. I'd like to get the rock chips fixed before putting the bra on however. Does anyone know how to fix the rock chips?

touch up paint. but you don't want to see rock chip imperfections under the bra. so your best bet is to get a fresh new coat of paint from the bodyshop so it looks 100% clean when you apply the clear bra.
