Default Nismo TT eating Porsche sandwiches

I went to the Putnam Park road course track yesterday with the Kentucky Porsche Auto Club for their HPDE event, and have to admit I was a little intimidating by the many $100k+ cars there. I put together a highlight reel of one of the 25min sessions. I will have to admit some of these Porsche's were just blistering fast in the corners but it was nice to run them down on the long straight! There was a Porsche Cayman there that was on Hoosier slicks, and the owner transplanted a brand new 3.8l turbo 911 motor in it that was just ridiculously fast all over the track but for some reason would only run about 4 or 5 laps at a time and pull off the track???

A little info on my Nismo #1283
Greddy 20G tuner kit
Greddy Turbo TI-C dual exhaust
Osiris reflash
HKS EVC boost controller (8.5psi)
Tial bov's and wastegate's
OS Giken triple disc clutch
ZSpeed HD CSC
DBA 4000 slotted rotors
Agency Power steel braided brake lines
Hawk HP+ track pads
Motul RBF 600 brake and clutch fluid
Bridgestone RE-11 tires

Haha thanks guys. That Porsche Cayman with the new 911 turbo transplant motor passed me up but when I started catching him again he pulled off into the hot pits so I was a little irritated with that grrrr... But yeah this was mostly an older crowd and at first I could tell they were like "i'm not letting that ricer pass my German super car!" lol. During this run I really felt the car sticking to the track and was running my fastest laps of the day, so afterwards these guys were pretty cool and were asking a lot about the Nismo editions.

I was thinking about suspension upgrades because I rode in an instructor's Acura NSX that was bone stock but with a full suspension upgrade and it just had a completely different feeling from our stock Nismo suspension. He was telling me that he was feeling the Nismo suspension was very good and he wouldn't bother changing until I feel i'm able to drive the car 100% with its stock suspension. I think i'll take his advice and get a lot more seat time with street tires, stock suspension, and possibly come out next year with some Hoosier R6's and some suspension upgrades : )

What would you recommend to change out in the suspension area though, because I do feel the body roll and it does intimidate me a little bit because I rolled my XTerra playing around in a field a couple years ago haha

Yeah honestly I was expecting the HP+ track pads to be more aggressive, when I bought them I was also looking at the XP10 or XP12 Carbotech pads so I probably should've went with them instead

I agree, get rid of the stock vlsd. I would also upgrade the sway bars! Sways were my last upgrade and for me it dramatically improved the handling of the car in combination with my coilovers.

The stock sways are just not that stiff IMO. Body roll on the track is very noticeable. A better diff will make a very noticeable improvement as well. Especially with the HP/TQ you have!

yessss. super sick. way to rep the ride.

all of the suggestions above have great merit.

sways/coils/lsd are all obvious and can prob all be had at around $3k for the right stuff.

You need coilovers, sways and diff like I need TT and an OSG twin disk clutch lol

How is traction on the track with the 3.5 FD? What size tires are you running?
