upgrade from DE to NISMO?
i have a 2003 DE with 32k miles touring in silverstone. i was looking on craigslist for local parts when i came upon a add selling a 2008 NISMO with 33k miles. however it has a rebuilt title.
the upgrade wouldn't cost me a thing due to it being rebuilt. if it did, i would not be thinking about it.
so what do you guys think? should i go for it?
is the risk worth the upgrade?
BTW the NISMO car fax said NO Structural damage or Airbag deployment.

Not sure how much damage as car has to sustain to be given a "rebuilt title"? Here in NY, it has to be considered totaled by the insurance company. You can then buy it back, rebuild it and have it inspected for a salvaged title! I wouldn't buy it! Thats a lot of money for the mileage and rebuilt title.
I would PASS...

Funny thing is my buddy is selling his nismo and offered me a straight trade for his, be like 60 more a month for me. But I DD my 05 touring atm for a bit longer. And a nismo wouldnt work well in the winter lol, not that mine is that much better, but i do have vdc and stock body. But I know the guy who has this. Spoke with him a few times. Seemed like an honest guy. He also has an 03-05 Z heavily modded as well. But I've also seen base 370z sport packages around same price and mileage. Not local though, I know how it is. I'm in the same area.

There is just something about a crashed car that steers me away! lol
I've never been able to keep a vehicle after an insurance repair. I quick off load it before it hits carfax. Why should I be stuck with a vehicle that has been damaged and value lowered due to someone else's stupidity???! Let the dealership deal with it. Luckily, knock on wood this hasn't happened in 6 yrs.
You can find a good deal on a non salvaged Nismo for the same price & mileage. My .02

^I didn't notice that until you pointed that out. Also the rear bumper looks repainted. Those little red things extending into the rear bumper mesh isn't painted on mine... not that it matters thaat much. OP, while you test drive it, you may want to check if all the components are there, beneath the rear mat, i.e. spare tire, jack, tools, and the Performance Damper. There should be one damper at the front and one in the back, visible once the rear mats are removed. GL with your decision.

thanks. i really appreciate it.
i ended up not even scheduling a test drive. it was tempting and all but the rebuilt title just scared me off.
the risk wasn't worth the comfort of mind
