Default How does everyone have their front plates mounted?

I am getting some work done on my bumper and asked my friend to fill the holes in the bumper for the license plate. I was just wondering how everyone else has theirs mounted.

For non Nismo's, I'd probably go with the Stillen License plate bracket, that mounts using the tow hook location.

For Nismo's, the Stillen doesn't work, so I fabbed up my own mount. I have a thread around somewhere, but it looked weird and needed to weld some things together. Worked good though.

I actually went back to the bumper mounted frame, that screws into the front.

Cali has plate laws and I have never had one. Got two fix it tickets and each time zip tied it to the grill, had it signed off, paid the $25 fine and then took that ****er right back off. No cop has ever pulled me over just for that. Speeding will cause them to possibly tack it on but never straight for no plate. I'd rather pay $25 every three to four years to have my car look better.

That looks like garbage and ruins the look of the Nismo.

I have the Zee Bracket. Thinking about taking it off because I really don't like front plates.

You don't know the monopoly that is Mass tickets. In Mass tickets are considered a source of income for city/state and when there is a large project going on more tickets are handed out. It has been written about in many local papers etc. They have sites and forums dedicated to helping people fight tickets because of how ridiculous it is.

There is no signing off you have to appeal the ticket in front of a clerk magistrate who could give **** less about what you have to say $25 (no matter what). Then you have the right to appeal it in front of a judge (who might care a little about what you have to say) $50.

I'm not drilling my bumper for a bracket and a plate. I'll just use the passenger's sunshade or the passenger's side on the windshield.

I just got nailed for no front plate and MN likes to hand out a $115 fine for it. Bought a M22x2.5 bolt 200mm long, had it turned down 2mm so I could thread it into the tow hook mount without rubbing on the bumper and made a plate mount similar to Stillen's. I know I'm in the wrong for not having a front plate but it sure is a hard pill to swallow when Corvette owners and anyone driving a 1972 model or prior don't need one. Besides the fact it looks terrible.
