Does my car deserve a Nismo badge?
Well I would say yes because you can get your nismo certificate of authenticity with your vin number.

Once I put the M5 body kit on my 540i sport, I'm not putting M5 badges on it. But that's me.
It's your car and do what you want, but you are going to be that guy. If you don't want to be that guy, I'd steer clear of the Nismo badge. If you don't mind being that guy, go for it. But it seems like you might've already made up your mind on what direction you're going.
Cool build though. I applaud your dedication.
If I were to make a suggestion, it's that if you're interested in converting stuff to either be the newer cars (such as the interior), or simulating the upgrades (such as your brakes), you might want to look into turning your car back to stock and trading in for an '07 or '08 with the HR motor and the newer interior. Then take the parts you've already paid for and add them to the new car. By the time you pay for the little pieces and the headache to modify everything, you might find that it's cheaper in the long run to just kick in a few dollars for the newer model. And the newer year will always be worth more than an older year (barring anything causing a car to be a limited edition). Just doing a quick look on my local craigslist, an enthusiast DE roadster is only about 3-4k less than an '07 Grand Touring roadster. If it's something you're able to do, you might save a lot of time, headache, and money in the long-run and ultimately have a car you're happier with.
Good luck on your future mod plans. Hope it turns out just how you're wanting and makes you very happy. I would love to see someone go 100% Nismo vert (obviously aside from the seam-welding in the roof).

I thought I was bad with the Nismo stuff lol, first off let me say that it is your car so do as you please, but since you want my opinion:
1. No Nismo badge please, maybe a Nismo sticker?
2. Thank you for painting the whole kit the color of the car (not 2-tone like stock)
3. I personally HATE that spoiler with that kit but who cares...
4. If I had to change anything with your set up I would take off the Nismo stickers on the wheels as it looks like you are trying too hard to pose, anybody who knows these cars know that those are not Nismo wheels.
All that being said, I don't get why people get bent out of shape when others put Nismo body parts or wheels on non-Nismo cars. If you like the look it really is a no-brainer, because they are OEM and fit really well, and I think we can all agree that those parts do NOTHING to make the Nismo 350Z perform any better.
On a side note, what exactly do the dampers do for the car really? I believe it is nothing but another marketing gimmick, correct me if I'm wrong (but show solid proof).

Badging the Nismo parts as Nismo, ok. Badging the car as a Nismo model, no. Kind of like the oem Nismo v2 fiberglass bumper came with a small Nismo plate/badge. Overall I think you did a nice job with the car, let that speak for itself and not some badge.
A Nismo 350Z took a 350 and made it "the best handling Z ever built". When you start with a convertible you start with a floppy chassis. If you want to do the full conversion of everything but the roof and badge it Nismo as an "what of Nissan offered a Nismo roadster" thats one thing. To stick some Nismo badges on a car with some body mods is just a typical ricer move.

I honestly believe you missed the entire point of the project. Even though Nissan motorsports did not produce a nismo 350 z convertible, if they had, it would be similar to my car except the seam welding and frame dampeners. It kind of sounds like you like to call people ricer with little of no basis for it. Again, I do appreciate the feedback.
I mentioned that I didnt have the horsepower of the nismo but that I got some of it back with the lighter rays rims. My plan is to gain some hp with an intake plenum spacer, ecu tune and maybe some minor exhaust mods.
I forgot to mention I have the nismo muffler. Something the nismo doesnt have that I have which nissan would likely have in a nismo convertible is heated seats. I transferred the heating elements from my original heated leather seats to my nismo seats.

If Nismo built one, it would most likely be the exact same thing as what I have with the exception of a rag-top and possibly different spoiler (but not the v1 spoiler). It would have Brembos, 18x9 and 19x10 wheels, an HR motor, dampers, etc. They might have given an option of automatic for these cars if they had built a roadster, but that's the only concession I'd give you. And if you wanted to build a version of the car that's more in line with the Nismo concept vehicles (JDM R-tune models, etc), then go for some upgrades that exceed the factory car (bigger Brembo brakes, lighter weight and wider Rays wheels, adjustable Bilsteins, HKS or Fujitsubo exhaust, Recaro seats, etc). These are brands that Nissan/Nismo use in their more performance focused cars.
You've done a nice job upgrading your car, but if you really want it to be a tribute car without a roof, you know the parts that you need to buy. Otherwise, just call it what it is: a budget upgrade using some better parts from other 350z trims/years. Nothing wrong with that. I'm on a pretty tight mod budget myself and that's why I've not done too many upgrades to my car even though I bought it new and it's all paid off. But also don't get defensive when someone lays it out for you.
Btw, if I had factory leather seats, I would look up the JDM Nismo interior and reupholster the center section in Ecsaine suede. Don't downgrade your seats to be our garbage red and black cloth. The US market got screwed. And one more tip: take off your rear bumper and spray paint that Styrofoam black. Ours come that way.
I'll save you a little search (bastards even got the option of factory nav):

Oh man, where do I begin. Reasons why you should not do so.
1. It's a convertible equipped with an automatic transmission.
2. It's a convertible equipped with an automatic transmission.
3. It's a convertible equipped with an automatic transmission!!!!!!!
LOL, really though, the main reason not to do so is because you don't have a nismo, plain and simple. Just be proud of the car you are building and call it your own.
Also, man, this forum must have really fallen on off as I've already seen a few people advocate doing such a thing.

OP is digging for opinions, and my personal opinion as a ZR owner myself is no.
So, no, don't badge it.
