Hopefully you didn't start the car and just start slamming gears and pulls... even more so on a cold day with cold parts

of course not lol I drove it like 30 miles first then just started driving a little harder to see if anything seemed off and then my 2nd gear grinded

No it's not normal to have that problem. But these cars were never made to have speed slams for gear changed. Smooth and direct throws is how these trannys work best.

Even fully built track cars do not slam gears because it doesn't work. Again smooth and direct throws and changes.

well my 07 nismo took me alonnnng time to learn because of the crappy clutch system. even now I randomly grind because my shift and foot sequence is not perfect. I would say it's normal if it's new to you and your learning this particular car and attempting to shift fast. I would say it's not normal during normal daily driving type shifts

I strongly suggest you take the car to Nissan, have them do a comprehensive review & then have it added to the claim.

There may be drivetrain damage due to the 2k+ trip on it's wheels plus then add that they most likely Ferris Buehlered the **** out of it.

It's yours and you will do what you want, remember how that has already worked out for you?

I'm still trying to fathom towing a RWD car with rear wheels on the ground for nearly 2500 miles.

My knee-jerk reaction is no one that is a professional would. (Not that this shipper was a pro).

Add to this the newly added excuse of the impounded trailer, why was the car off it? How was the car not also impounded if that was not the case & then he could not get it out because not owner on & on & on with the 10 pounds of swiss cheese holes in this whole deal.

my 2 cents- somewhere along the route- i am sure the transporter off loaded the car- played hooligan- got arrested- and while in jail- the trailer and truck got towed either as a result of the arrest- or - because they were parked on side of the road and impounded as abandoned...
insurance companies i am sure have databases they can sift through to find out if the car itself was impounded during the trip- that would lead to checking booking records of the jail in that jurisdiction... and perhaps pulling any reports generated...

And if impounded how did a person without standing get the car out?

Only the registered owner can get the car out of impound. Although that reminds me op said the car was already in his name in his state which opens another can of worms. I have moved cars to new states, they need it smogged, it's vin verified, it's mileage verified etc to issue a new pink slip (in New York, California, Arizona and Nevada)

there is a stench in Denmark throughout this thread.

arrested guy was not anywhere on the paper work- but - when showing up to retrieve the car- had paper work showing that the car was in transport... lots or ways around it.... i suppose
