Default Educate me please!

Hey all, anyone want to give me a bit on an education on N20 please? My plan is to go SC'd, and make up about 50 spare hp off of N20.

What are my best choices, and what would you suggest? A dry system since im not going for much hp? Its going to be multi purpose, a bit of go, but mainly show.

Should I not even spray with the SC? Maybe a wet system instead? How is the wear and tear on the engine?

Thanks all, im a real newb when it comes to it, so anythin you guys want to suggest to me, I would be more than greatful for!

I will tell you most people will say not to spray if you are FI unless you have a built engine. I have a stock block and won't spray again until my new built engine comes in.

Yea I have been on here long enough to search. That was pretty funny. I just really didn't find the technical answers I had wanted. No harm, I am just going to try it anyway and see. If it blows it blows. =)

I you seriously did not find your answers here than I truly recommend you not running n2o because it means you would not be able to read the manual correctly and hence low something or someone up...

No offense but there's info here for every step, for every setup and/or occasion

Why, if I may ask, would you be wanting to spray a "spare" 50hp out of the car with nitrous? The SC kit alone should suffice, and if not, should be upgradable to accomodate an extra 50hp, be it by tuning, pulley upgrades, etc. etc.
Nitrous is usually something people do, instead of using FI, which is perfectly acceptable. But there really isn't any need to test your motor by adding it on top of a already SC'd motor. Now, if you are using a SC kit such as stillen or HKS, and feel that the power is just inadaquite, and you are thinking of putting a nitrous kit on the car to compensate, it might not be such a great idea. These types of kits are already tuned out of the box, and to mess with the air/fuel even more would probably cause havoc with the piggy back systems....

now mind you, you can get away with nitrous on top of a SC with a fully stock engine, after all anything is possible. I proved many people wrong back in the day by running a entry level generic nitrous system on my accord up to 100hp increase, on a stock motor, and never had one single issue with the motor. The tranny didn't like me very much at all but the motor was fine. so as long as you tune things well, you'll be ok. Is it recomended, of course not, but if we all stuck to things that were recomended, we'd be a very boring bunch wouldn't we?

Tony, well to answer your question. I have the Stillen stage 2 kit. We all know there is not much to do with this kit to get extra hp. Thats fine. The whole reason I got it was purely to be different.

You just don't see them that often, which is what I like. Im not (as of yet) into the big hp. I had that with my stang and right now, just not driven to go down that road again. Anyway, as most people know the stage 2 only provides 75 whp. Yes there is a pully upgrade, but again, not what I had in mind. I figured to spray for an extra 50 hp or so for a few reasons. 1) Just to be different, 2) more for show, 3) just to have the little extra hp for when I want it.

Anyway, hope I made sense, just woke up and coffee should be about ready. Thanks!

I totally understand where you are coming from, when talking about being different...
But in my opinion, you may run into complications, as you already have an extra injector spraying fuel into the manifold, in essence, with the nitrous, you would have a second stream of fuel, and it may complicate things with air./fuel etc....

I recently did the stage 4 upgrade to my stillen SC and I love it. I'll be doing a full write up on it later on in the day today in the FI forum.

But if you want to be different, nitrous would work, but I just think it would be more complications than anything....
