Best way to install the Fuel adapter
Whats the best way to install the Fuel adapter that goes under the fuel pressure regulator. Is there any tricks to get it where the fuel doesn't go every where or is there not that much that goes out.
anything would help.

Take out both allen head bolts, pull, then catch the small amount of fuel with a rag. When installing the adapter, put oil on the o-ring so it slides in easy and be careful, if not you'll most likely rip it and have to get another one like I did....
What Bert said. When I put mine on I had oiled the bottom o ring but not the top. Ended up ripping that one. So when I was replacing it, I ended up ripping the bottom o ring.
So in short, oil up not only the adapter o ring but the pressure regulator o ring also!

If you are using the Kent Moore adapter, be careful to not over-tighten the bolts. I got mine used so, I don't know if this appies to a new one but, there is nothing to support the upper flange under the bolts.
Another trick, pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car. The car will run until most of the fuel is gone from the fuel line. At that point, remove the connection by the dampener and you won't have too much of a mess. Just don't forget to reinstall the fuse...G/L.

no oil just very careful. I just popped it down and made sure to look to see if it cut a little bit of the rubber. if I did I had a back up. I went too the parts store and took in the piece with the O ring on it and got a back up. Just In Case

mine came with longer bolts, the o-ring on the piece, everything. some people bought another o-ring, but I forgot and ended up not needed one. But I did use liquid lock-tite for when I put in the nitrous line to the adapter
