Is 150 shot ok...??
Hey fellas..
In the comming weeks I plan on getting the NX kit from Performance Factory.. I am wondering if I should get the 150 shot or go with the 125 as honestly, I am worried about somehow blowin the engine.. Obviously with the UTEC, I can set it to spray whenver and at 95% TP% but is the 125 a safer shot for me?
Thanks for your input

I think I will go with the 125 shot to be safe...
NX's rating are usually whp not fwhp, so in most cases 150 shot is close to if not 150whp extra. Of course every car is different so....people have run 11's with 125 shot, its what Id run if I had N20.

Yea I am 90% sure that is what I am going to do. But that other 10% wants more...

If you're gonna run a UTEC, 125-150 is fine. I'm not getting a UTEC for awhile...time to throw some more parts on the Gixxer. Gotta spread them evenly on both toys. haha. Anyhow, since I'm not running a UTEC, I'll be running 100 shot until I do. Better safe than sorry.

NX jets are actually flywheel hp, for instance my 100 shot put down 80 and some change to the wheels. you will have lot of fun with either!! not too much of a difference in the two shots.

Be sure to translate HP @6000 rpm to torque so you can get an idea of the increases in torque at what ever rpm the nitrous engages.
100 HP jet = 88 lb/ft at 6,000 and 175 lb/ft at 3,000 rpm. This low rpm torque is what breaks things.
Also at low rpms the chances of a homogenous mixture decrease as the runner air speed slows down.......some cylinders getting more than others!

Jeremy just because your car didnt make 100WHP on the reccomended jets doesnt mean somebody wont make more or even less. I stand by the fact that usually people see whp results.
Man your going full drag car, which is awesome in a way but IMO you doing that ghey tranny and not banging gears anymore is NO FUN. Im a purest I have to row my own gear, what skill is involved in moving a lever at certain shift points and launching with slicks? NONE, in my opinion. Enjoy your fast boring car lol...

well. i would love to keep the 6 speed BUT, triple carbons suck for drag racing, you have to get them pretty hot, my clutch i have sitting here is 2500 dollars, my stock tranny is worth a G at least, people are starting to break parts in the trannys. i just am trying to make it bullitproof. i love bangin gears man!! you know me. i just cant push the limits of this car and have it down ALL the time...
so yeah i would break 3500 dollars worth of parts if i did the clutch/6 speed. i dont really feel like doing all that, i want to run 9s here and drive it to the track!!!
i will have right over 2000 into the whole tranny and adapters flexplates all that stuff, and its gauranteed and warrantied for a while so no worries!!
its not an auto either, its a clutchless 3 manual 3 speed
