Default NEWB questions for NOS, 75 or 100 shot

I'm toally newb to NOS. I read sticky trhead to get basic understanding.

Instead going to FI setup, i decided to go with NOS. My car is bone stock 06
I'm not into serious drag racing, but I might usually use it on highway or start going to DR, so basically i would need 75 or 100 shot

1. is it okay to put NOS with stock intake/exhuast?
2. can i turn on/off the NOS whenver I want? ie: running on highway but someone wanna race with me. so i just turn on the nos and race?
3. i saw there should be bottle heater to warm up the gas tank. how long would it be take?
4. would it be safe to keep the tank in the car all the time?

So basically i want to turn on NOS whenver I want while im running, and use NOS instantly(if it is possible)

Also I might get this kit
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=284675
Nitrous system:
- Complete Nx Kit in mint condition, comes with bunch of custom length AN lines for cleaner installation.
- NX Bottle Opener
- Nx Bottle Heater
- Nx Purge
- Nx FP safty switch
- Electronic 4 way adjustable rpm window switch
- Electronic fully adjustable TP switch
- Triple Guage Pod
- Autometer Nitrous gauge
- Autometer Air/Fuel gauge
- Complete Uncut Wiring so installation is a breeze
- Switches
- FP TAP ADAPTOR- no need to cut any lines
- AEM COLD AIR INTAKE- honestly one of the best intakes ive had. Already drilled for nozzle and comes with plug so it can work without the nozzle as well.
-Custom Box made for mounting the bottle in the trunk made of MDF.

All the lines have been wrapped for a super clean look this kit is by no means a rat nest that you sometimes get when buying used nos kits i will have pictures up soon.

autometer air/fuel- $150
Autometer Nitrous- $160
Gauge Pod- $79
Electronic window- 65
Nitrous TPS- 60
Nx Purge- $145
FP safty switch- $60
Nx Heater- $233
Nx opener- $250
Nx kit- $609
Random Nitrous Lines- $150
Fuel Pressure Tap- $70
AEM cold air intake- $259

Total- $2290.00 - new price

SUPER LOWEST OFFER EVER $1200 FOR EVERYTHING THIS NEEDS TO GO NOW
I asked him if it is still available, but no answer yet!

Moreover, i got quote from indy shop and they told me to get Utec if I wanna go 100 shot safely. so

5. If i buy Utec what elese I don't need to purchase from the link?
6. with Utec, I use a setup with NA mode and then switch to NOS mode while im driving? or do i have to stop the car and change the setup with computer?

1.stock intake/exhaust is fine
2.youll have switches to turn off everything, youll have one heater switch, one activation (turns on the system), and then the purge you press before you spray, and if you want a bottle opener (which is great if you just wanna use it on the street) its a momentary switch, so one way is open, one way is closed
3.the bottle heater raises pressure in the bottle, not the gas tank, it will hit harder once it sprays when its compressed more.
4. my tanks in all the time, but if it gets too hot it could break the disk to the blowdown tube and waste a bottle of nitrous....but your somewhat local, so i know it doesnt get that hot
5.dont know
6. dont know

100 shot is the limit, after that you need timing pulled (utec), 75 shot is even safer

you will need a utec and map switch if you plan on using that.

you can easily switch from NA to a nitrous map.

you can run up to a 150 shot but start with a 100.

make sure you have a pro install it

read everything you can on a lot of sites before you purchase nitrous so you can fully understand it!!

good luck and have fun

+1 on a UTEC and its very easy to switch tunes while driving (I have done it a time or 2 )

stock intake and exhuast are fine (K&N drop in filter here)

it does not take long to warm the bottle, so if someone pulls along side you all you have to do is turn on every thing make sure to switch your tune and your good to go

theres alot of info on this site and others. Have a shop that knows what they are doing tune/install and don't cheap out on parts. Heres what happened to my stock motor https://my350z.com/forum/nitrous-oxide/245891-ouch.html

Audible Mayhem fixed my mess up for me, so do it right the 1st go around.

Be careful and have fun

NOs will be installed Dave at functioned. i might start with 75 shot without Utec. cuz Utec plus map and all things would cost me $900or more.

so if I get the kit the member sale
$1200 + $700 install with 75 shot
$1200 + $700 + $900 Utec plus with 100 shot I guess.

Is it possible to have 75 or 100 shot with the bottle the member selling? so i can switch to 100 shot later on with same bottle?

Shot size can be changed by putting in different jets. No big expense at all.

When you get a utec you can have maps for different shot sizes if you wanted. Read and ask questions and like JT said it's a lot of fun.

sweet, I purchased this kit, I'm so looking forward install date!!

can someone give me an idea to install two gauges? the seller includes triple pod pillar. what should i fill up with extra hole?

I like the idea that charles did in his navigation pot. would it be able to fit two gauges and one more switch?

If you want stealth that's a good way. I heard that Crawfords sells this faceplate. I have a G35 and I went the stealth route. I have the switch center, Utec map switch and my Noz pressure. I just bought another ashtray to modify to hold an A/F gauge. The Noz pressure guage I only bought the guts of their square gauge that they sell. I'll just stack one above the other and have A/F in red led's and my Noz is blue. If you want any kind of pieces as per say from Dynotune, let me know and I'll see if I can get you it. Congrads on the purchase and try to keep it in a straight line.

of course i want 100 shot, but don't have money for Utec. dave told me he can do 100shot with timing(without Utec), but will lose stock performance (slightly).

Goodluck. Post results when you get it installed.

I am starting to think N20 is for me. Cost effective and a good "hold over"

Start with a 75 shot if you don't plan on running a UTEC. the AF mixture is almost right on. If you wanna run anything more, get the UTEC along with map selector switch and tune. Jeremy (Audible Mayhem) can hook you up. And I would buy new parts.....don't risk buying used or a sh*tty brand. NX is all I recommend and use.

I talked with a guy at AAM in MD. I don't know his name but has TT silverstone Z. He used to run 75 shot and timing out 3 degree. He said it would need time out even though you run 75 shot. (he is mechanic at AAM).

man all the parts at my place, but i got quote and all other parts. I ended up spending $1400 parts/ $1000 tune, labor. so total around 2.4k

I might just re sell it because I would rather wait more money and go with FI system.
