Default Install Idea ????

Has anyone installed their bottle in the factory sub hole behind the seat? I am think this would be a good spot that could be used and it would be out of the way. I was also wondering if a 10 lbs bottle with a bottle opener would fit. I was thinking of cutting the hole out and making it pretty much square and building a fiberglass box that would fit in the hole then mounting the bottle brackets to it. I would like it to be clean. If anyone has done this or has any advice it would be welcome. Pics would be a big help if anyone has any.

thanks hershell.

sorry i have no pics, but i put my bottle behind the passenger seat. I took all the plastics off and then took the cubby out. Put the plastics back on and the glove box still looks stock. I dont have a bottle opener. But the bottle can still be turned on and off by hand, even when i have a passenger in the seat.

Ill try to get pics up ASAP. But the bottle in my cubby is a Zex 10lb. bottle. Once you take out the cubby, there is plenty of room back there!

You can also on base model ( no sub) Z pop out the trim panel thats behind drivers seat. Wow look at all that room and the glove box still remains. Good place for a bottle (sleeper look).

People like you **** me off. If you have nothing intelligent to contribute to my post the stay the hell out of it, and furthermore before you accuse someone of not searching you mat want to make sure they didn’t. In other words please use someone else’s thread to raise your post count.

Now…….. I have ordered a NX kit for the install. I’m going to have Performance Factory install and tune it. I have removed the subwoofer “collar” that bolts over the large opening to gain access to the cubby hole. Now I’m in the process of building an enclosure to install the bottle in that I can mount brackets in. I’m not sure what the best way to do this is. Fiberglass is my 1st choice. There is a small cover in the bottom of the cubby hole floor, that I’m trying to figure out what it goes to. I don’t want to cover it, but I want to hide it. I’m thinking of making a fiberglass form that I can remove when needed. I would like to install some LED’s or neon to light it up later if I show the car. Well I keep ya’ll posted.

I will be ripping my 2007 apart this weekend for ideas on where to mount a 10 lb bottle or several 5 lb bottles. I'll take pictures but i'll need a volunteer to email them to cuase i'm not versed enough in how to put pictures on these forums.

If you guys want any thing else snapped with the camera when i gut the interior let me know.

I got my bottle this week and I tried to come up with something. I got a 10lbs bottle with a standard kit. I can't get it to fit and look like I want it to in there. I just don't see how to make it fit after I glass it all in. I don't want to cover the fuel pump door. I'm sorry guys I just can't get it to look right and have the room to take it in and out.

I have decided to move my amp and build a bottle holder in front of the strut bar. I glassed in the spare tire hole and I'm building a false floor with a Plexiglas window to hold my amp.

Very nice install first350!
I'm planning on trying to do the same thing, but behind the passenger side.
My 2006 has the sub woofer behind the driver, and I do love my music.

Do you know if it will be feasible on the passenger side?

Thanks
