Default Best way to install Fuel Pressure Gauge?

In searching I see most FI or NA people will use the AAM/Dynotune fuel adapter when installing a fuel pressure gauge. How do the nitrous people do it? Is there an alternative to having to cut the line and install a t-fitting?

Same way.. Get a Fuel Tap from Dynotune and put it on the drivers side fuel rail. Plug your pressure sender into that. Done.

I have a fuel tap on the passenger side for the fuel solenoid. Then I have another one on the drivers side with a T Adaptor for my fuel pressure cut off switch and my fuel pressure guage.

^That's what people use to tap into the fuel line for nitrous.

edit - BabyZilla got to it before I did.

I had no clue there was one for each side. Thanks.

Is this necessary if you have a return fuel system like the CJM that already has a fuel gauge. Could you run a regular fp gauge off the port that the fuel guage that came with the system is supposed to operate from?

assuming you mean an electronic gauge, just need to install the sensor inline so it will see the pressure, from there it converts the pressure to an electronic signal to a pressure reading inside the cabin

just to make sure that I am clear, I will still need to buy a dynotune/aam fuel line tap to install the guage right?

thanks for the help.

You need some place to install the sensor

Which fuel setup are you running? Which gauge are you considering?

don't have any of the parts right this second because I'm trying to sort out what exactly I will need in advance before I start buying.

however I will probably be going with the CJM stage 0 return fuel arrangement, and probably all prosport evo digital guages.

Lil bump....
Do you guys see any difference in analog vs digital guages as far as accuracy?

I would think that accuracy is dependent on the calibration and quality of the gauge. As for you reading the exact pressure, analog can only give the reader an approximate reading as the viewing angle will change how you read the needle even if it's the same position. With digital, what it outputs is what you read so no user "error" but your resolution is limited to the set increment.

update: the evo guages have a massive fuel pressure sensor, but it mounted up quite nicely to the port on the CJM retun system where the analog pressure guage would normally reside.

can't speak as to the accuracy just yet because the car hasn't been run as of yet. hopefully tuesday (for the first time in 6 months).
