Default nitrous vs. stock internals

i know there are a limited number of us running nitrous on our z's but to the ones with stock internals, How big of a shot are you running? I am doing a hundred shot and craving more, i have heard of people safely doing 150 shot on stock internals and it holding up just fine, anyone doing this? All replies appreciated and at this point we all know we are talking about a safe setup for the most part the people contributing to the nitrous threads seem to have pretty safe setups. granted the use of warmer, pressure gauge and tune i wanna know how big of a shot are you guys running on stock internals?

I'm running a 67 Nitrous jet and a 34 fuel jet on a UTEC tune.
That's the 150bhp shot, but it's about a 120whp shot.

What is there to talk about? There are many people running 100+ shots (up to 150 wet).

As long as you're not spraying constantly and you've got a good tune for nitrous, you should be fine. Just make sure, as an extra precaution, to use race gas when going above 100.

Yes, the max (as mentioned in many threads) seems to be 150 shot, given that it's a wet shot.

You can, however, most likely go slightly higher than a 150 shot if you're doing a direct port set-up. I advise that you stay at 100 for safety and like a 125ish, even with a good tune.

^+1 Nitrous is like laughing gas it is additive thats why I got rid of nos. And I hate watching bottle pressure which is very important. Stay 100 to 125 wet shot with tune so your motor will last the year that is if you spray a lot.

150 is about the max u wanna go on a wet shot, anything higher i would go with a direct port. the nozzles on a wet shot wont spray proportionately into each cylinder after 150 and that would be bad on such a big shot!

check that direct port set up its nasty!!!!!!1

if you want more power you should get a real tune...not add more fuel and more nitrous. You're still not feeling what your car would feel like with the same shot and the correct map.

I only ask because I care about you nitrous guys, so don't take it offense to what I ask.

Can you handle the current amount of power? Better, can you even handle the NA output of your Z? If so, what proof do you have?

what proof does anyone have ? my answer is simply yes. i contribute to these forums for information ,if i could not handle the power level of my z i would not be trying to make more. i love to drive and i think i am pretty good at it and i love to race. so my answer is yes as for the tune gene oh buddy oh pal i understand what you mean it would be a little faster with a good tune. but i am not doing that untill i get my internals in.

With a shot that big, add this to your setup:

I'll be doing a write up on it, check for it soon.

Ok. Have fun with the 150 shot on stock internals without a tune. I'll be looking forward to your review.

Get a video, especially of the 3rd and 4th runs...Seriously though, you need a good tune.

A UTEC plus a tune is a lot cheaper than an engine + labor to install. Food for thought

He doesn't realize that he's gotten a lot from this website, thinking he figured out a lot on his own. Let him figure this out on his own for real. Untuned with 150 shot of nitrous only means blown engine sooner or later, but I could be wrong. Let him prove us wrong. If he does, though, that's one healthy *** bulletproof motor.
