Default Bottle placement.

Can a 10 pound bottle be placed parellel to the rear strut bar on the side closest to the driver?
like right behind the little click open cubby hole were it can be reached from the driver seat without a remote bottle opener.

You can mount the bottle anywhere as long as it is secure. There are plenty of clamps available for unique applications.

I have seen a bottle mounted between the driver and passenger seat. Probably not a smart idea to have a 900 PSI bottle next to your head.

Yep, a lot of people have their bottle there.

The downside to doing that is that its harder to use a full bottle, with it mounted sideways. I couldn't find an easy way to get underneath the "floorboard" there, so I used some inverted claw screw things (unsure what they're actually called). I drilled a hole, folded the "claw" up, pushed it through the mount and the hole, and then tightened it up. Does that make any sense? lmao

i put mine behind the passenger with the valve facing towards me ...then its easy to open/close it since its within a arms reach instead of payin a bunch of money for a opener...

I still used an opener, myself. I figured I was buying the gauge-style switch center from dynotune... might as well get an opener to go with the switch, lol. Plus, I thought it would be awkward to try to open while driving or something. Not that one ever would need to do that... <.<

I have mine mounted there, facing the valve away from the driver.

and if i am seeing it correctly, do you have to take all the plastics out for it to fit or do you just have it like that to save weight?

Thanks.

You'd have to take some interior panels out if you want the wiring hidden and to install your mounting brackets. I was supposed to put the interior panels back in after the install, but I got lazy and never put them back in. It's been years, but I still have them out. The road noise will increase noticeably but I guess you do lose a bit of weight (it's plastic so it's very light, thus probably negligible) so I guess it evens out.

I figured i would have to take the interior panels out to do the wirring i just put my wideband in my cubby and had to take some of the dash out.

so all i have left is to put put the nitrouse system in, I just wanted to make sure the bottle would fit in that location without having to hack away at some of the pannels.
