Default Blown up your Z with nitrous?! Tell us about it

Alright well I've wanted to create this thread for the longest time because I used to be a firm believe in nitrous. However, there are some people on this forum who beg to differ. I think this would be the perfect thread for anyone who has run nitrous to tell us if they blew up their motor with nitrous and how. Give us the specs, what size shot, how long sprayed for, how often you sprayed, what failed etc. Also, if you haven't blown up your Z with nitrous, give us the run down on your car also with the same specs and what not. Any problems you've had in general due to nitrous on your VQ, let us know that too. Feel free to give opinions and say whatever, no offense taken, just please keep it mature. Like I said, I've wanted to start this thread for the longest while so we can weed out different myths and see what's realistically happening out there with people who spray their motors. Enjoy

Yeah, happened to my old Eclipse.

After a night of racing, the police busted our meet. Everybody scrambled in every direction. After losing the police, my buddy and I accidentally ventured into the Little Saigon area of SOCAL, and ran into this dude, Johnny Tran and his goons. After a brief discussion over whose turf we were on, the gang seems to depart, but Tran and his cousin Lance return and opened up in a barrage of gunfire with Uzi submachine gun fire on my Eclipse. When gunfire ruptured the Nitrous Oxide tanks, the ensuing explosion demolished my beloved ride, leaving my buddy and I to complete the rest of our journey home on foot.

Finished the install earlier this year. Started at about 43k and it's at 49k now. 425 lbs/ft 357 hp, 110 shot. Installing nitrous correctly is a *****; it wound up costing me 2-3k all said and done.

^ You keep thinking that, buddy. If you don't have experience with it, how can you make an objective decision? You have nothing to base your opinions on. You fail.

Here's the basic run down for my "set up:"
-2003 350Z
-currently at ~113K miles, been spraying since ~80K
-installed Dynotune Nitrous kit with accessories ~3 years ago
-sprayed through 10-15 refills (10lb bottle)
-mostly spray at drag strips 1st-5th gears; sometimes spray elsewhere 2nd-4th
-100+ octane at drag strips; 93 octane otherwise
-100 whp shot (54N 42F)
-no tune, just 2º timing pulled with 1 step colder plugs
-AFR ~11.8
-I have a no reliable dyno numbers (various dyno issues)
-1/4 mile: 12.288s @ 107.12mph (issues at the drag strip; 11s possible)

Besides number 12 post failing. Is this thread only for fail stories or success?

I did for over a year on my 04 with 58K miles. Sprayed untill 105K miles. Never an issue other then 2 bottles a week, I used the N20 on a daily basis and would often go and drive the car just to use the nitrous. I think I went thru 100+ bottles, I have 3 bottles I would sometimes full at once. I was sick of spending 80+ a week on n20. Im turbo now and the car is slower, all the cars I used to beat with the N20 I lose to now. I can only pull on them in high topend.

I was happier with the spray and im thinking about going back. My numbers on my dynotune kit were... 324/345tq. Car pulled like a **** on the bottle. On the turbo its a laggy terd.
