Question SPX? Does pulling the valve stem out of it work?

Or do I need to buy the new fitting?

Could anyone that has the adapter tell me how long the spacers are that you used.

Also, whats a webpage that sells them(spx fuel adapters)? Thanks!

yeah you have to pull the stem out for it to work, the stem is there for the service department to hook their fuel pressure tester to.

Well I meant does it work just fine like that. I mean does the pressure stay cosistent? Or should I go ahead and just buy the fitting to allow proper fuel flow.

oh, my zex came with the fitting, so i just changed it out, as far as the spacers go, i didnt use them, i just bought some bolts that were a little long and was gonna use them without spacers and just tightened them down to where i thought they were tight, i read where somebody else thought the spacers caused it to leak because you couldnt tighten it down enough.

What's the best way to get the middle stem out? I'm sitting here looking @ mine and it looks like it screws in.

well, there is a tool specially made for it, it has 2 prongs on it and slides over the little pin, i had one from my old bmx days, it just slides over it and unscrew, it isnt tight, so if you have some small needlenose pliers try them

Im sorry, I didnt mean the valve stem remover I meant the actual SPX fuel adapter. I cant seem to find a site that sells them. I can remove the stem with a small flat head screw driver.
