When I cut the fuel line to my surprise there was an inner hose which seems almost plastic. The t-connector supplied in the ZEX kit is just about the same diameter as this inner hose. So my question is how the hell did you guys use this t-connector. I am really stuck here and would really appreciate some help.

 

I just went to my local auto supply store and bought about 5 feet of rubber fuel line and a bunch of clamps and replaced the entire section of fuel line. Just bring the T with you to make sure it's a good fit.
Works like a champ, no leaks.

the T they give you is pretty much the same size as the plastic inner hose. i installed it on a very warm day and it took some force to get it to work.

be sure you clamp it down good over both the plastic and rubber and check for leaks after your done. have someone rev the engine while someone else checks for leaks.

those lines have to deal with around 54PSI from the fuel pump so take your time installing it.
