There's a silver Z I seen the other day at that interview I was at. It had what looked like 18 or 19" aftermarket 5 spokers with a nice lip, it had to have been an 07 model (projector headlights and LED tails) and it also looked like a track model. Anyone know who's that is? It was parked in Royal Oak, on fernlee drive.

Craig,

I cleaned the exhaust up for you. I was actually surprised that it still was shiny under all that junk I cleaned off.

There are a few sections that need some stainless steel cleaner to make shine. I didnt have any so I just used brilo pads. Its looks pretty damn good though.

Ill let you take a look at it of course.

My last appointment tonight is 4:00pm. I will give you a call when I am finished up.

Craig
I always start mine while they are in storage
About once a month or so...
My Camaro cannot sit that long with the gas I have to run in it...

be sure to put some baking soda in the car, to pull the moisture out!

The Exhaust Tips, Resonators and Mufflers are all very shiny and silver. The rest of the piping has a goldish color to it. The piping near the engine has some stuff burnt on it.Im guessing that is because it was hotter than the rest so anything that came in contact would burn and stick. I am sure it will come off with cleaner.

You will see.

I life my car so the tires are off the ground, crack the windows, disconnect the battery, I put microfiber cloths between the window all the windsheild wipers, and I cover the car. Through out the winter I will go and start my car about every 3-5 weeks. I let it get up to running temp for about 1/2 hour.

Here's a list in order of what I do:

- fill up with gas, over inflate tires by about 5psi
- wash car, clean interior and vacuum carpets
- change oil and filter
- park the tires on squares of carpet
- disconnect battery
- put a box of baking soda inside
- throw on the car cover
- remove car cover once in a while just to look at the car and wish the F'ing winter would end!

I think thats it....

no fuel stabalizer.... not really needed unless storing your vehicle upwards of a year or more.... and if you're storing something for several years you should drain the tank.

You will probably hear mixed reviews on the stabalizer/no stabalizer question though.

You do not need Stabil for your tank Craig.
I have never used it and never had a problem...

Everyone
I am going to be taking my Helix Stainless Steel (nonpolished) Test pipes off in a few weeks. just wondering if anyone local wants them.

They are in great shape, and were hardly used..
I am keeping my "non foulers" for my new set coming in in December.

Just throwing it out there...

Default storage

Last year this is what I did for storage...

1. Got the oil changed right before storage
2. Topped off the gas tank
3. Made sure tires were at least 35psi cold, maybe up to 40psi
4. Barely cracked the window in prep for #5
5. Removed the battery and attached to a battery tender indoors
6. Left parking brake off, put blocks at tires to avoid any roll
7. Put a chunk of carpet under each tire so they weren't sitting on the cement
8. Waited for Spring - Oil change - Back to ride-pride

This year I'm going to add these steps..

9. Plop a box of baking soda in there
10. Wax
11. Z Car cover I got from the parents
12. Lower Insurance coverage (if the bank lets me)

I know, they got the motor apart again the week. They had other cars that they had to get done, and i didn't mind since its winter here. So now they are working on it again and should be done with in a few weeks. There doing alot of work to it.

New Arias Extreme Duty pistons
Bore out the block, rehone, redeck, balance....etc
Make sure everything is done perfectly
Tune with the new HALTECH
It's a pretty unique setup so its gonna take some time
Ill have pics of the block and kit on so ill post them

These pics are when the car was first completed but it ran into some problems
