Billy I agree man.
Thats why I was saying we can install the kit, but getting it tuned properly is the key. Also when buying the kit get the proper tuning software...

xclusive, I think those rtps are for the '07+ 350Z, I'm positive it won't fit '03 - '06 models.

I agree with you AJ and Billy. I see no reason to pay a shop for something you can do over the winter. The TN single doesnt require you to remove the engine, so like it was said install isnt a problem. The best thing you could do is make sure you get THE RIGHT TUNING SOFTWARE and have it tuned by a reputable shop. Tuning is the biggest part of any turbo install.

He did my '06 motor replacement (warranty - oil consumption). Doing fine so far - knock on wood. I also got my alignment done there. Very happy with the work Dave at Boyland (used to be Victory) has done for me. Mike the service manager is good too.

As the others have said - good luck, and pay close attention to getting it tuned properly. I know next to nothing about FI - but I do know that it needs to be tuned by an expert... otherwise you will be forced into an engine rebuild after the Boom.

Default Need help

Hey guys, seems like some of you guys hav been around and know the area pretty well.

I was hoping to get some recommendations on body shops.

(Are any of those dealers mentioned couple posts above do decent body work as well?)

Need my front bumper repainted due to rock chips, vandalism, road kill, etc......
& since I need to recondition the bumper anyways I was thinking maybe I'll shave the front emblem off as well.

Got any good suggestions for a competent body shop that can do some custom work like shaving off as well?

I'm in Novi area but I work by Troy so...I'd really appreciate it if you guys could share some info. Thanks!

Drift,
I know a body guy and he has done lots of jobs for me and friends
I don't know if he can do the shaving, if he can't he will tell you.
Though he will know who you should take it to in the area to get it done.

Xclusive, your best bet is to buy and F-con for when you put the turbo on.
Then depending you can drive it to Chicago, or fly someone up from Atlanta (Forged) and rent dyno time for them to tune it for you.
I know Speed Industires in Troy rents out there DynoJet.
I think the latter will be less harmful on the engine.
Then again that is my two cents, just don't want you to blow it up.

Jeff, your right the RTP will not fit.
The 07-08 Exhaust manifolds are longer making the Test pipes shorter then the DE style motors.
Its a real pain for the HR guys.

Nice to meet you guys, hope to get you out to some meets this year!!
-AJ

Not a fan of the Turbonetics kit, but if it were me........I would have all the work done by Forged Performance in Marietta GA

or

have the guys on here help with the install, then rent a local dyno and pay Sharif from Forged Performance to come here for the day and tune your car.

For the amount of power that you're going to make with your kit, the F-Con is overkill and expensive. There are other piggyback type ecu's that will work just fine for what you're doing and will cost much less than the F-Con.

a utec ems should be fine for your stock block power level . u could use the turbonetics reflash (which is come with the kit ) all you gotta do is just send you ecu to turbonetics and flash it, but i recomend a utec later down the road otherwise you'll go boom . btw the turbonetics single kit does not fit 06+ models .
