Finally got the part... I was going to pay someone to put the hotchkis bars on because of the whole laziness thing, but Brian and Rob talked me out of it. :P

I've got a nasty vibration I need to track down too. The low-ish rpm shifts are accompanied by a higher pitched rattling sound that seems to be coming from under the rear of the car. It's loud as heck when I'm driving normally and the car is cold.

 

Exhaust contacting the crossmember. It's tight as hell in there. Loosen the exhaust bolts and wedge a spacer in between the exhaust and contact point. retighten and remove the spacer.

 

I would definitely be interested in meeting up and checking out what i should be doing to my car.

I just threw on my nismo intake and am trying to find an exhaust. Kennedy might sell me his s tune nismo, but the whole swapping exhaust is somewhat cumbersome.

Hopefully the weather is here to stay, the last 2 weeks have been pretty sweet.

 

So how does next weekend work for everybody? So far it looks like it'll be clear on Saturday, but seems like ppl prefer meeting on Sunday?

Hey all. Good to see daily activity here again. Finally got my Z out of storage this weekend, and it immediately threw up the same codes I left it with in the winter. It started thowing these out at my last track day at Gingerman...

p0037 - h02s heater control circuit low (bank 1 sensor 2)
p0057 - h02s heater control circuit low (bank 2 sensor 2)

So, time to peel my exhaust apart to see whats up. I'm guessing that the liquid gasket I put in where the header meets the HFC wore out... or I'm running too rich after the UpRev e-tune (maybe fouled up my HFC's).. SO, I'll do some logging tonight to check that out.

..then the brembo swap will be happening since my oem standard brakes have a nice vibration.. guessing my rotors are beyond worn.. Anyone have a 0-1, or 1-2 micrometer? .. or better yet, a brake rotor micrometer? I just want to measure them out of curiosity - replacement is going to happen regardless.

So, whenever my car gets brought back down from the jack-stands I'll try to make it our for a meet. haha. Later!
