XceedSpeed BBQ!

hey guys, me and a few guys from xceed are throwing the fall BBQ this year and i would love to have you guys come out and support the community.

i want a big Z and G turnout so heres the link if you guys are intrested. its going to be at the lake erie metro park, sept 19th (sunday). Were supplying plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers, so just show up and hangout with everyone.

Here are the new wheels... I'm way too lazy to thumbnail the picture and it's too big to use img tags. Maybe I'll get time to wash the car and take off the decals this week finally... http://reprehensible.net/~sig11/370z/new_wheels.jpg

I think the front left is the ugliest... the pinstripe is chipping off so it looks kind-of ratty. The actual curb damage is no worse than what I have on my stock wheels but it shows up more because of the color. I think his pictures and the flaking pinstripe made them appear way worse than they actually are.

I'm pretty sure that I can feel the difference from the bigger tires too. The steering is a bit stiffer and it wants to follow the road more with 265's in front. Even though they appear to have as much or more tread left than my RE050A's I made the RE-11s squeal a bit on my favorite exit ramp where the RE050s were silent. Are the RE11s just more talkative?

I checked my pads when I had the wheels off too. I still have tons of pad left. I must be the slowest mother****er out there in a 370 compared to what I read on the other forum... those guys talk about fuel starvation in right hand turns, chewing through pads in two or three track days, and overheating in relatively low ambient temperatures. Here I am with the pads still looking great with four track days a few runs on the Dragon and lots of street driving...

Maybe our official camera-man Deepu will be willing to take a couple of shots for us? Or even Derrick can shoot for us too.

Well... They're not the prettiest with the curb rash and pinstripe peeling. :P I'm up for whatever kind of get together anyway.

You might be able to find time attach pin striping on E-bay and just overlay the new pin striping over it. I think I've seen it listed on there by wheel diameter.

 

I also know a pretty good (and reasonably priced) wheel repair guy.

 

I've been so swamped switching jobs to jobs to jobs... hell most of you probably think I still worked for Adrian College... then I went off to an ISD for a little while... then to a private insurance company in Troy... and currently I work at Wayne State University lol... I guess i've been job whoring, but hey! IT is doing so well in Michigan I can't help but take new offers lol... so that's why you guys haven't seen me much at the track or on wutwerd... been so frigin busy with all that.
