Hey Detroit Z Club guys... you were talking about a dyno day! Where was that dyno shop at?! Phone number if possible too please

 

Detroit guys!! I'll be at Redline... 11 mile and inkster at 7:30 tomorrow if weather permits!

 

Took my new block and all the parts up to the shop today. 6-8 weeks before it will be done. I can't wait to reassemble the Z, it's in pieces all over the garage!

whats the deal with this nappy michigan weather? i washed my car this morning and i come out after the pistons game to c it soaked. what a waste. it looks good wet though. lol.

 

Yeah this weather sucks. I had the same problem last night. Well I guess I have to wash it again today.

Yeah, I was pissed off about the weather until I remembered that it's always crappy out memorial day weekend.

I'm pissed I had to miss the ZDayZ Dragon run. Was it fairly trooper free? Wish I could have seen all those Z's tearing it up.

I did get to drive the Nurburging Nordschleiffe last weekend though (in the rental BMW 3 series w/ 2.0 liter, no *****, good suspension). Lots of wicked cars there... 2 Diablos, Gallardo, Porsche GT3's, STi's, you name it, but there was only 1 Z!. I actually only saw 2 Z's the whole time in Germany. My German co-worker said they aren't very prestigious! One of the Z's I saw had something to say about that: a smokey burnout right in front of the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. HA! Seriously though, if you're ever in Europe you should definitely make a stop in Deutschland to drive "The Ring" no matter what your wife/girlfriend says. Only 80 euros for 6 laps!

 

There was a massive biker parade and show and wet t-shirt contest on Saturday so there we large amounts of state troopers more than the Dragon has seen in years they said.
There were even two fatal accidents that weekend as well one that was even a off duty state cop, he drove off the road down the mountain on his bike.

 

yah that was HORRIBLE to hear about that state cop ... I didnt hear about that till after I got back and what not... I see why the cops were out in full force...

Michigan Z's!!! YOU GOTTA GET OUT AND AUTOCROSS!!!!... there is only me and one other guy every event... its boring without other Z's....

How was Friday night in Birmingham ? Saw you car pass by around 9PM. Was jut behind you at a light. I did not bother honking as I was not driving the Z.
What makes that exhaust sound like that? is it the test pipes ? are they resonated ?

If you saw me in DT Birmingham then I was probably being annoying it was just funny to see the reaction of all the little scene kiddies scare at the car once they heard it lol ... But next time wave me down! I'm a really talkative person and wouldnt mind just hangin out! Me and few people went down there to see that new adam sandler movie which was hillarious! Let me know if you wanna meet up on Woodward sometime during the weekends!

I know this Friday around 8 - 9 pm ill be on woodward -> Redline at 11mile and inkster... then back to Woodward im sure before I head home... lots of cool cars to see and people to hang out with

 

Bob are you the yellow Z around the 11 or 12 mile area near telegraph in Southfield I see sometimes? I have a SS w/ Ontario plates. I saw a yellow Z around here a couple times, wondering if it was somebody on this board?

 

There are only two yellow Z's that I know of sold in michigan...
mine is the only Yellow 35th... they got a few on the lots now from what I've heard from the nissan guys... but that I know of... im one of the one Yellow Z with black Nismo rims...

and if its 11 - 12 mile and around that area yuppers! usually friday - saturday ill be in the area pickin fights (little sprint races... 0-60) or cruising by the redline meets


and im almost 100% I saw you on 11 mile area about 2 - 3 months ago lol

 

Ya I guess that was you. I am pretty sure that I am the only modded Z in the Detroit area with Ontario plates. What are these redline meets?

its at 11 mile and Inkster... near southfield area... close too woodward / birmingham!

it starts from anywhere like 7pm - 9pm... I'd recommend around 8 - 9pm... people start to pill in... the first time this year there was like 60 cars... then the second time like around 100+ it was insane... ive been there when its been like 20 cars ... all the way to the big stuff! just depends on the people and whether people come or not!

Its always nice to see some of the cars... they range there... from cheap crappy... to even a few lambo gallando's or what not showed up last year... its a lot of fun! I'll be at every redline meet pretty much always... unless im outta town....

this friday for sure... it looks pretty pop'n cuz its nice weather!!
