Yeah definitely! These things are amazing, i've had this setup for like 4 years now. Had it 3 years in my Grand Am, couldn't install it in my GTO that I had for a year, so now we're reunited again! I can make these things pound if I really want to, thats why I like them so much. There's alot of flexibility. I can keep it clean and tight for punchy techno and rock, or I can open them up and shake my neighborhood if need be. I'm not try to over-exaggerate, they're loud, but some bassheads would say thats nothing compared to their 12" and 15" setups. To me, thats too much all the time.

Yeah I love my 10's!!

Actually i've never owned a Z. That's just the website selected avatar I chose. I've always wanted a Z but realized it couldn't be my only year round car, not practical for my situation in general. I had a picture of my previous car (Grand Am, back when I first signed up here) and had that as my avatar and wrote For Sale! But when they changed the forum rules that you had to be a primo member to change avatar, that "For Sale!" stuck and I couldn't remove it.

Ok, you guys need to stop. I haven't had a system in my car/truck in years... Now you have me thinking about upgrading (and maybe adding to) the sub in the Z... The stock sub is mediocre at best.

Back in the day I was a basshead... I had 3 JL Audio 12W6's in an S10. That thing pounded. Sometimes I miss those days.

I never would have gotten that idea....

You should get a system again..
I mean a quality system makes the experience so much more enjoyable...

I am a firm advocate of it..

Mike-so your TB has the 10's in it???

Yeah I never understood that either, stuffing huge subs in a small truck. One way ticket to deafness hehe. H8, do it man! Throw a pair of 8's or 10's in the gloveboxes behind the Z seats. My buddy did that and it sounded great! Unfortunately he didn't have the car long enough to appreciate it (repo man..hah).

Yeah, my TBSS has the 10's. It's my only car, I never had a Z, and I HAD a GTO but traded in January. Sorry for the confusion, if my350z.com admins would let me, i'd remove the stupid for sale crap.

True, I'm pretty sure I have hearing loss already, so I might as well throw some subs in the Z!!!

I was just going to replace the sub behind the driver seat, but I know if I do that I'll end up adding one behind the passenger seat and upgrading the amp. It's a lease, so I can't tear it up too much... unless I'm gonna buy it when the lease is up.

Well what you could always do is get the ZEnclosure that fits under the rear sway bar? That could easily be sold or kept for your next vehicle if you reall wanted. I'd say thats the best way to do it without too much fabrication.

Otherwise, just order a spare set of glove boxes and OEM woofer enclosures from someone or a junkyard, and re-install the stock stuff when the lease is up.

I can't -- I have the roadster. The trunk fits one set of golf clubs with almost no room to spare. There's a sub behind the driver seat, and a glove box behind the passenger seat -- that's all the room I'd have to add subs.

Sh*tty well do what I said, call up some junkyards, see if they have the equipment out of a trashed roadster, if it costs you $100, buy the OEM equipment and throw it back in when you trade the car in. Then take the fabricated boxes and sell em on here for $100 and it'll be a wash!

I think you mean point, but yeah seriously me and my dad used to do that all the time restoring cars. Junkyard baby, it's not always a bad thing.

You'd be amazed what jewels you find. Alarm systems, radios, rims. You name it.

Anyone showing their Z in the upcoming Autorama this weekend? The OP(mdako), TF and others showed their Z last year, how about this year?

Unfortunately, i've never really been a huge fan of going to Autorama.

I'm sure it's because i've never been to it, but I've gone to car shows in the past in Detroit and never been impressed. Or if I was impressed, it was short lived and not worth the parking money or the gas.

However, i'm waiting for something to intrigue me into going, and Z's might do it for me! I really wish I had a DSLR so I could start taking pictures. My Sony N1 (8mp) does great, but it just takes really clean pictures, not "photographic" pictures. Theres a difference between the true quality a DSLR can capture, compared to the reproduced image of a high MP pocket cam.

I like the Autorama...
It is a cool something different, and it is great to see all the local shops and Vendors that are there...

It really helped me to find a shop to have stuff done for me...
Also my buddy and my cars are shown so I am there for a WHILE

And then everyone's cars get keyed or vandalized.

I steer clear from Detroit with my truck.

What about us Wayne county guys! That's far as hell.
