I really like the idea of it being user tunable. This way you dont need to go to the shop every time for a retune.

Johhny,
Did you talk to the Stenod guys?

I like the list so far...
Some seriously cool cars on there...

Are we going with 50 cars this time?
Just wondering

Ahhh the first mod!!! --- those should definitely make a difference at the track.... what kind of drop do those springs provide?

I know I don't have to remind the guys of the pain and suffering that occurred when we swapped my springs. Sway bars weren't that bad but the springs were a biotch!!!

For eveyone that went last year, what do you guys think about having 50 car max instead of 40. There were no problems and no lines with 40 people, but because of how successful the event was, I am sure we can fill the extra 10 spots. The only difference I would see between the 40 and 50 car min is the price of admission should go down.

I would like everyones input, so please let me know.

3/4" Front and 15/16" Rear - For some people, that is not enough of a drop. But, it is plenty for me. I'm still not sure if I'm going to rent a spring compressor to do it myself, or have a shop do it. Got plenty of time to figure that out...

If you want to install it yourself I can help.... I think most shops will charge about $300 or so for a spring install.

The spring compressor is a major PITA, another option would be to do the installation yourself but have a shop swap the springs out on the shock assemblies. The backs are really simple.... took Mike and I about 35 minutes a piece and that was after we all dealt with the fronts in the morning.

50 people shouldnt be a problem. I think I got about 20 runs last year. And I had to sit out for an 1.5 hours because of clutch overheating.

I think 50 will be a great number
It may slow us down a bit, but we need to keep the track temp up with consisntent runs down the track...
50 will be a better number, there may be a small line.
I got in WAY too many runs for that poor car that night...

I might also bring my Spec-V and Race Jessie a few times for fun...
Steve-good work on your first mods!
WE can help you install them, it was a pain but now we know how to do it!
The front was a %itch I agree 100%.

Also if you want me to show you how much of an improvement, I can help with that. Ask Jeff, I know just the turn..

Wow. Thanks for all the offers to help install AJ, Jonny, Jeff911. I may take you up on it.

Back on topic though - Milan, Gingerman. I got my confirmation letter and tech-inspection checklist yesterday.

I noticed that Milan has the '08 schedule, but looks like their rental rates are still from '07. Were you looking to rent in April?

go to autozone and loan a springs compressor , just got to put a deposit down . the rear springs are easy to do . but you wanna do this in april when it get warm . btw cobb did their homework on the springs . you don't want to lower your car too much living in michigan .

<< learned from my own experience.

Good call Billy.
Lowering too much in Michigan is a BAD idea....
Especially if you drive it everyday...

There is one rule on an install...you supply the food and beer!!

I am hoping to get a track day for late April or early May.

Anyone else have any month they would like to do this in?
