Jay, those things are obnoxious. I hate them. They are loud. My beef is that if they want to use the roads or sidewalks, then they can pay the registration fees like everyone else. Kids get killed by those. The thing about the 50cc rule is partly based on safety issues, but I think it's linked to EPA regulations and maybe DOT also.

I don't think what you did is an arrestable offense. That was stupid to put you in the back of a squad car. Sadly, I think the MPD is under a lot of pressure so they would rather go after law abiding citizens instead of the ****ing douchebag illegals.... oh, wait. I'm ranting. Phucking sanctuary cities...

Anyway, I would request a copy of the state law or city ordinance that the officers used to impound your bike and ticket you.

I ran into Andrew today.

Alex, I have strep. Don't know if I'll make it for lunch tomorrow, but I'll definitely try for Friday. Interested, Ben?

crf 50, I see skateboard style scooters with no lights. I thought 50cc was 50cc but I am pretty sure the 50 is classified as offroad, I have a couple of buddy's that converted rms250f into street bikes w/titles I didn't go that far. I wounder if I could pass it as a Motorized foot scooter, are defined by state lawmakers as vehicles meant to be stood or sat upon by the rider, with handlebars. The vehicles must have an engine or motor that can propel the rider, without the help of human propulsion. Also, they must either have wheels with a diameter of 10 inches or less, or a top speed of 15 mph on a flat surface.
Driver Eligibility

You must be least 12 years old to ride a motorized foot scooter. However, you don't need a license to ride one, nor do you need to register or title the vehicle. Plus, insurance is not required.
Operating Information

Motorized foot scooters are not allowed to be ridden on sidewalks, except for over short distances when necessary. Passengers are not allowed. Scooters may be driven on some bicycle paths and trails. Riders under 18 have to wear a helmet.

Park patrol, I never got a impound slip from him and the careless just states the offense and location. Blonde hair Blue eye's don't fail me now.

Wow, sounds like a sh*tstorm... Sorry to hear man. You'll be fighting it out, so it's likely that the judge will hear your side and take it into consideration that it was not an escape attempt.

Yea I should not have laughed. He was almost convinced that I tried to run, he even called it in (I pointed to the 50 and said on that?) the old guy I was talking to(while I smoked) on the creek previously before going in the squad, walked up and told the 'squirrel chaser' I wasn't running, that was great. I just don't think a careless meets the criteria of my actions.

Well, wally world came through for $20 compared to the rediculous price of $120 from goodyear. I wouldn't normally trust them with my wheels, but since this is all to get them powder coated, I wasn't worried if they dinged them up a little, which they didn't. I'm doubting it'll be ready for the cruise next week, but I'll still try to make it in one of the other cars, maybe my wife's miata.

I'd kill myself if I had to be in those kinds of meetings.

Tell me about it!

So here's what I'm thinking Dave- tomorrow about noon you come busting in the meeting with your badge out screaming crazy stuff. Kick me off my chair and then throw the handcuffs on. As you are dragging me out of the room tell everyone in the room how crazy I am and that you have been looking for me for a long time and now you finally got me. Throw me in the car, we hit up some lunch for an hour or two and then you drop me back off at work so I can finish up my day.

Only small catch is that you would have to come back into my office and explain that you grabbed the wrong guy, it was a misunderstanding...blah....blah...blah. Tell them the governor wants to give me an award because of the misunderstanding...blah....blah...blah. I get out of the meeting and get to go to lunch. What do you think? You game?

I like that idea, Ben. Would you be able to take a few beatings from my baton? I promise not to hit you in the head unless you put it there. Then we can say it was a mistake, that the real guy is an international spy that looks like you and has a great cover job.

I like it! As long as I can still eat, no problem! I really like the spy angle. Even better than what I was thinking. Everyone in my office would always half wonder what the real story was.

Got my bumper back and redid the mesh. It's back on the car and good as new. Took it for a quick spin. Mmmm
