Sorry to hear, Trav. Hopefully if something is damaged, it'll be warrantied by the manufacturer for defects?

I noticed a lot of people missing. Not a bad idea though.

Got a quick question.

I already have single-stage black sprayed on it. (No clear)

I don't really feel like spraying the entire thing again with black base then clear, so wouldn't I just be able to sand the single-stage black and spray clear over it? Using a urethane system.

There's just some orange peel I'd like to sand down. I know the usual thing is spraying the clear after the black base flashes, but if I would be able to just spray clear after sanding, that'd be awesome. Would save me a lot of time.

Also... I'd like to come down to the cities again before I leave. Let's get something big going!

I've got something big for you....oh, wait. NM

So..... I think it's time I tuned the Z or buy a piggyback system for it. I've pretty much got a bunch of breathing mods front and back, so I think the next thing to do is dyno, tune, or w/e. Suggestions?

Lol.

Dave, do you have a spacer to go with your Crawford plenum? What about the MREV2 lower collector?

A reflash wouldn't be a bad idea.

I know I have a DEP Meeting sometime next week. I'll have to confirm with my recruiter to make sure it doesn't fall on that date.

get a run on the dyno and see where your AFRs are and go from there.

Based on the experience I had with my car in N/A state it wasn't in need of a tune. I did a technosquare reflash anyways...... basically did nothing but raise my idle slightly, get rid of speed limiter and raise redline:

I had the following:
headers
test pipes
exhaust
intake
bored throttle body
plenum
pulley

if it is single stage, just sand and buff it out. you shouldn't need to put clear over it.

You could run a MREV2 with the crawford, but the crawford plenum eliminates the need for a spacer

Only if the single stage has a hardener in it. If not, a clear coat should be applied.

Just got back from the body shop and the Z is coming along. The main repair work is completed and now they're down to the smaller details. Their just waiting for a few parts and it should be in for primer and paint next week.

I figured so. Is there any benefit to adding even more volume in the plenum?

The single-stage has hardener. I've colorsanded it, but it doesn't have the depth or gloss that I want.

Earlier today I sanded the hood smooth, getting any orange peel out, etc, and sprayed two coats of clear. Turned out great. Just did the hood to test it out and see if there would be any problems adhering to the single-stage. All's good.

About to test on a small plastic piece I painted to see if my blue-tinted clear coat will work and look good over a black base. I think it might turn out different than I have envisioned in my head. I'd like it to appear black, but when the sun hits it to shine a little blue. Am I thinking right? Or am I just stupid?
