Yep moved a week before last Christmas so only been here for a few months but I'm taking a break from opening new stores so I was able to sign a 1 year lease for the 1st time in 4 years! My new place is pretty sweet, 921 sq. ft. 1 1/2 bath. Has heated underground parking, Jacuzzi IN my bedroom, weight lifting room w/ sauna.. I love it!

I am grabbing 350z touring one I believe...I bought base model and was figuring I would need LSD but was unsure about what strength or features I would need.

Ahhh, ok. I too have a base model Z, and a couple weeks ago bought the quaife LSD. It is a complete drop in minus putting on new diff bearings. I would strongly suggest getting them... They are spendy tho but was able to pick up a pair (one for each side of the diff) for a decent price on courtesyparts.com.
they are sold by the ea on here so you'll have to select 2. I know I was given a price by the stealership of 93 dollars ea. so it's a pretty big savings. If they are in stock you'll be able to get them within a week.
Make sure you have the Factory Service Manual for the the tq specs when putting everything back together, but I thought that the VLSD required extra parts for us base Z guys.. I'm not 100% sure but its so much easier just buying the Quaife LSD and installing that. Comes with an unlimited mile warranty too.. If you're interested I got mine thru map performance they are a vender on here and are local and talk to Dave (yes another Dave that I know lol) and he'll give you a price on one.

The factory LSD is the way to go. the aftermarket ones are better, but quite costly compared to what you can get a VSLD for and much easier to install. Just a straight pumpkin swap. There is nothing special needed to swap it in. Just need to get under it, unbolt the half shafts and prop, and ubolt the diff it self, and then do it all again.
