I got over 265 the past two winters... about 245-250 over the summer.

I just got down to about 227 from 262 this xmas. my weight is a huge mind-f^ck. when I let myself eat, I am usually very strong (which seems to be worth it at the time). rep upwards of 400 or more on bench. Squats in the 450+ range for reps... deads not quite as impressive as I don't do them consistently , but easily over 4 plates for my workouts...
BUT, I am looking a 38 pant size!

so this yr, I had enough and ate correctly and cardio sessions like I needed to (high intensity intervals).. but my lifts fell off the table. I was just getting back into squats, so they have progressing upwards slowly.

mid january my workout log:
370 x 6
375 x 5
390 x 4

mid april
315 x 6
320 x 6
325 x 5

today was looking like a good day for lifting. just hope this is minor (hurt) vs being serious (injury)

especially with summer around the corner Aaron you dont need to be hurt during farming season. Plus you're not going to have as much time to lift weights during the summer with your busy schedule. I'm the same way, I work out in the winter in preparation for the summer cause it's nothin but go go go....

I just got lazy the thing that sucks most about working out is it takes a while to gain it and if you don't keep up with it it all goes back to ****. I need to change my workouts I have been plateaued for the last few years it seems

Being hurt sucks. I fought the back thing too long. basically strained some muscles in my lower back. lots of inflammation and being in the 'core', it never got time to heal. just nagging for a damn yr. I started doing more core exercises, lost some weight and went to get a few massages and I am 95% now.

My shoulder isn't much of an issue. It has been aggravated before, but when I was in my "stronger" days. It never really 'hurts'. it will feel very stiff, and I will have only about 3/4 range of motion.

I don't lift for summer prep. I lift because I feel I will always be "big", so I might as well be strong... and what the hell else is there to do in the winter time?

You have to have motivation to actually work out to begin with. For me I have to work out so that I'm ready for when summer comes other wise I'm F^CKED!!

The killer for me is boredness. "What do you guys want to do" "Well we can go out and get some food" = fail all winter long.

no ****. when I was a teenager, heck even into my early 20's I could lift everyday and make gains. just as long as I went the gym. mid 20s, I had to get a little bit smaerter about it, but still not hard. Now I need to really be conscious of my sleep habbits, my diet, my cardio sessions (timing) and then be smart about my lifts.

In the end, it's very cool to move some big weights. A lot of people I know from around town are amazed when they see me in the gym for the first time. a get a lot of "man, I kind of new you were big/strong, but did realize you were that strong"

It's what I have done since I was 15-16 yrs old. it's part of my life. Just hope I can continue doing it. I think I have 10 good yrs of heavy lifting left in me. I want to do some competitions next yr. If I play it right, I could do very well. If I can get my bench up over 475 again, I could set some records.... but I just don't know if that is in the cards or not. We'll see how my back holds up. Have to do heavy squats to have a strong bench

you have a few good yrs left. I don't' notice my metabolism changing all that much. I always have an easy time putting on weight and a hard time taking it off. What I notice more as I get older is my body reacts to lesser stimulus... like if I start eating a little less, my strength goes down a lot. I find the biggest thing is my sleep. the summers are killer for me. I loose weight, but the lack of sleep seems to pack on fat...

Yeah the food certainly does get expensive and I usually feel pretty good after I leave the gym. What I ultimately want is to drop prob back down to around 140 and lean out a little bit I would say I'm kind of built but it is expected since I am pretty short and don't have a freak metabolism like Greg. Def need a change in routine, partners make a huge difference too, I usually work out alone No spotter or someone to call you a ***** makes it a little less beneficial.

I used to have an awesome lifting partner... then he had a mental break. now, it's too hard to get someone to lift with. I am too far along, and my schedule doesn't mix well with others

I go to L.A fitness which is 100 feet away from my install bay which is half the reason I still go before or after work. I will prob ditch it for something like a snap fitness membership when I move in to the cities.

Just ordered the Aerosync V1 bumper and JDM Nismo sides and rears. Going to go with the 2 tone SS and black but cant decide what black to go with. 100% glossy, 50% glossy or flat. Suggestions? Wont get here in time for the meet unfortunately.

anyways, the evo is better than the Z as a driver's car. more fun and faster to 80 or so. You can drive it in all conditions and not worry about anything other than the paint finish. It has a back seat and OK sized trunk, so it makes it more practical in using it as a normal car.

I still love my Z, but if push comes to shove in making a decision on which cars is more enjoyable to drive, I'd have to say the evo.
Yep that was his he ended up selling it for 22k.

well... got my car back today. made a tad less power than i was hoping for but its still good. 386whp. Shane said i was pretty much limited by the gas i had. which was 91 or 92 octane i cant remember what i put in it before it went in. He said that i could pretty easily be over 400 if i ran 100 octane or better but he ended up having to pull a bunch of timing to keep it from detonating. Im still happy with the numbers though. i was at 350 before with 6 psi and now im at 386 with 11psi. And my mid range tq is quite a bit better now because i have boost coming on sooner. So it was i little wet when i brought it home so i couldnt really get on it too much but i was able to hook up in 3rd and it feels pretty strong.
