There's no way I'm spending that kind of money for a car that doesn't work. Learned that lesson too well.
So I'm looking for a CD009 transmission now. On Saturday, I kept crunching into 3rd gear. It's not looking good. Even Tara commented on it. It's time. I looked at the marketplace, and these tranny's go quickly. Should I buy used or get one from a vendor?

Oh, I'm sure I could order it on Amazon or something.
No secret project. Just want to sell my 260 and fix the 350 for now. Need to focus. Third gear is still grinding.

though I shouldn't *****. this year hasn't been 'horrible'... yet.
But my Z is down and out. 5th gave me a little grind last week so I got under it to see what was what. pushed in the slave cylinder and it did not return... so I think the clutch has been dragging a bit for while. Hopefully not too long or else I will be looking at a new trans as well. replacing clutch master and slave for now and see what that does. keeping my fingers crossed, but my luck with cars, it will need a trans. and for the record, I have a CD009 in the car now.... but a dragging clutch will eat up syncros.
to test, put your car in first, hold clutch all the way in, rev till redline. car shouldn't creep forward before you get to redline. if it does, your clutch is dragging and needs to be adjusted.

Doesn't happen every time, but it's happening more than not.
