Anyone...anyone...anyone...?

Haven't seen many z's around these parts. Of course, going to work in the dark...coming home in the dark...my black z is near invisible at night.

 

right here, michigan native. me either, don't see too many Z/G's around here.

 

Are you guys even allowed by law to own Japanese cars in Detroit? Just kidding. I'll be in Novi on business all next week. Too bad I won't have the Z with me. You guys are more than welcome to road trip to Chicago and hang out with us sometime.

Might be there in a couple of months - with Z (garaged of course). Or, maybe not, since auto insurance there is 2x what it is in Washington.

Bringing the old, old Chevy Blazer to (1) prevent beatdowns in my Z, and (2) let 'em pour salt all over the roads in the winter, without worry.

 

Few and apparently far between. Just saw my first Z on the road Thursday, headed toward me on I-69...what a strange experience. Black something..before my brain could comprehend what I was seeing it was in my rearview mirror. What's with the Spartan sig? you from E. Lansing?

 

Just a huge Spartan fan...MSU Alumni. Was going to do SpeedRacer1510, but seems too generic. Or at least at the time it seemed too generic.

The majority of all cars here are domestic, but I think it has more to do with all of the family and friends discounts that we get on cars. I don't know of anyone who ever buys retail for a new car around here. Driving a foreign car isn't as bad as it used to be. In fact, most foreign cars are now assembled in the U.S., and our Dodge Ram was assembled in Mexico! So which one is foreign now?

Anyway, few days left of sunshine. Hope to see some others out there.

 

michigan Z's are too few and far inbetween. and most dont even know about this site.

we'll probably be setting up a couple meets in the summer, maybe a track day or three. we set up 2 or 3 meets towards the end of the summer/ beginning of fall ealier this year. we got 4 z's to show up at one of the meets.

i dont know if any of you are familiar with "milan dragway", but usually thats where we meet up.

anyway...this is obviously a few months away, but make sure u check the local posts around march/april. it'd be nice to get 10 or so z's to show up.

Weird, sometimes Ill see 3 of them in 1 day. I get bad looks from 75% of them when I give the wave. Leads me to believe they don't really know much about the Z's lifespan and just picked it up because its a nice looking car. It probably also has to do with the fact that I'm only 22. They shake thier heads like my parrents pay for my car! If you guys see a 22 year old kid in a lemans Z thats me, and I pay my bill every month! :P

Hope to meet up in the spring, the Z is going into storage in 12 days . I'm gonna be saving up for the vortech supercharger, anyone have any plans for mods by this spring?

 

i get the same crap...but im 23. who cares....a big chunk of it is jealousy. (even the ones that have a Z) :-)

hey etx...ne thing new with the Z, or are you still concentrating on your eclipse?

the only thing i play on doing is over the winter is basically tinting the windows (which i already did 20% all around), and imma try n get those test pipes. oh and if i have any money left over then ill get a new grille, and one other mod which has nothing to do with the engine, but i wont mention that one until after i get it. nothing to do with the engine though.

oh and im debating upping the n2o shot to 150 possibly 200. maybe. i think thats about it for the engine ne way.

 

Yeah, I am almost sure I'm gonna get a supercharger in the spring after I pay my taxes. I got the nismo wing, I love it!

Good news... Sold the truck today! Now I can relax, one less car payment. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. I haven't done crap to my z yet, but the time will come.

I think I just saw the most awesome custom stereo install pics yet. Check out www.sportzmagazine.com and look at Bob's Z. The spare tire is still intact, and it is still a semi-stealth install. Only difference is I'd install 10" subs.

Is anyone planning on driving there's through the winter? I'm debating on getting a beater, and turning the z into a garage queen.

 

i'm gonna get a beater for winter. i just want to go minimal $$ on a car so if y'all see something decent or worthwhile, let me know. thanks

 

guys, i'm going to need an oil change in the next week or so, any suggestions on your local dealerships. i kinda want one with excellent service in service department.

the 3 dealerships near me has barely worked or even seen a z.
maybe i'm just too paraniod, but oh well.
