so how many of you guys are gonna attend the 300zx meet somewhere around there (Moraine Valley Community College??) during april? i guess a couple of us wisconsin Z drivers are gonna do a mini road trip down to check the 300zx meet out. we should all get together and do this

yeah this would be a great idea have a couple meeting spots on the way to the 300 meet. I just got good news this week my Z is actually coming a little bit sooner than I planned. My VIN just came in so its about a month away.

 

I live in Buffalo Grove, and work in Wheeling. I just got a base super black 6speed. I went with the base because I plan on moding it out. Just wish that I had the limited slip when it is snowing out.

 

I have a 2003 DB Performance. I work at ABT in Glenview and we have 6 350z's there. When I got it there was only two now six. All diffrent colors. Last summer I walked out and there were 4 of them parked right next to me, it looked like a car show. Any way if any one needs any kind of electronics or car audio feel free to email me. i saw your car there when i was shopping for my system. did you get anything installed from abt, because the guy i was talking to mentioned how they worked on someones car that worked there.

 

Yes that's me. I installed it last Feb. I have a Alpine Head unit, MB Quart componet speakers in the doors, Xtant 3ch Amp, And a Kicker L7 10" square sub. It sounds great.

 

You have to let me check that out sometime...

 

Ill take it out when the weather get's warmer. It is still in the garage, can't get it out without getting stuck. I miss driving it.

 

when is there gonna be a next z meeting. I wanna meet other Z owners. Any1 planning to enter their Z in Hot import nights. I will start working on my car this month. Any1 want hook ups on body kits let me know. I can get 15% off extremedimensions.

 

How much did this run you? I was looking at getting a similar setup, but put money elsewhere.

 

i ran into "kopo" tonight on the road...we finally cruised together for a good mile. He went home while my brother and I decided to give the z a little highway exercise. I'm determined to get this northwest burb meet together...let's do this!...we could meet at old orchard...downtown evanston? Do a lakeshore drive run to the city that would be pretty fun.(prior to that we all would need to give our z's a shower from the winter salt.

i didn't mention it because during the time...i felt like it was "stupid" to mention...besides who wants to drive after a long day of work?....wait...what was I thinking..we're driving a Z.

 

hey kopo the highway 294 N off of Gold rd...has a nice 2-3 mile straight away right?...til willow...anyone remember?

 

yea i know exactly what your talking about with that straight away, plus the golf rd on ramp is brand new so you can hit it as soon as you pass the toll. but as far as cruising goes, i love taking the car out on the highway at night, so much open road....

 

I work there so I get better prices. I think it was $1,900.00 installed with tax. The amp it self was $1000.00 retail. I could of went cheaper if I went with a cheaper head unit and a kicker amp other than the Xtant. And labor was a little more beacuse when I did it there was no dash kit, so they had to make one from scatch. It looks and sounds great. I am going to get a nav system put in soon.

I installed the system myself. Don't have any pics right now, and I'm still waiting to get my camera back from the repair center. The z is really easy to work on, everything just snaps in and out. If you have any questions let me know, and ill put up some pics once I get my camera back.
