thanks mickey.
it was a bit late though. i dropped off my z this morning. man that nissan of ann arbor looks like a hole in the wall business. near empty showroon except for 2 cars at one end of the room. a sprinkle of desks up against the windows, and a tech area thats divided up by makeshift dividers. not a good sign. i am a bit worried. to top it all off, the guy thats supposed to work on my car today wont be in until tomorrow. is that place going out of business?

rough start so far. here we go again.

All I have to say is the service problems that we have are no comparison to Volvo. There is no service for Volvo owners. Sesi in AA does not know the meaning of the words. I had to get brake pads every 12K miles and they said it was my fault and then I turn my lease in and the guy says "you never got the recall campain letter?" I said no and he wanted to charge me to get the braking system fixed. What a joke. Needless to say I paid for nothing because I never got the letter. That kind of sloppyness looses customers like me.

ya the car is still driveable. the lady was already in the left turn late way too early but i guess its my fault for not looking. the cop said she shouldnt have been in there b4 you but you still hit her and good old MI law says its my fault. im not really sure how much body work costs. the wheel well panel is smashed, it looks like it can be fixed but im not sure if it should be replaced.

for the shirt.. how about the club name on the front and the logo with all year Z's with our club name over the top.... I'm not a big fan of big logos on the front..

by the way... my Z is posted on performance nissan's website.

cain, im not sure i get what ur saying
are u saying just the club name on the front
and then the z history photo on the rear

my vision was michigan symbol with Z in it then z histroy picture in mddle not too big then on the back a big silver z with the 3 dots ya know so it would look like this

METRO DETROIT
Z"Graphic"
CLUB

what are your thoughts

here is info on my car
they want 1200 bucks to bump out the panel
or 1800 bucks to replace the panel
he said if i make a insurance claim, i can claim my barely scratched rim which is 1000 !!! and my barely scraped tire wihcih is 300!!! they are such a rip off. if i claim 3300 in damages vs 1200 in damages will taht affect my insurances decision to raise my rates. also if i do get the rim and tire replaced, are they mine to keep ???

Well that sounds like s##t.

On a more happy note, I was at Dick Scott today and Doug was talking of having a Z meet/Day and I spoke with him about our plans for the club. They are very interested. in having something at the dealership. I will be talking with him again. This may be the boost we are looking for to get things started.

I will keep all informed!!

Jon,

Where did you go to get it repaired? When they know the car is covered under insurance they charge as much as they can. Just like at the dentist, if you don't have dental insurance, usually the bill is less than what they will charge the insurance...

Depending on what the police report said it may or may not affect your rates. Also if your deductible is 250, it's probalby worth it to make a claim for 1200. At 500 deductible, maybe not.

Ask the shop what they will do with the rim. They should not keep it, it should be scrapped. Then again if the rim is only slightly scratched as you said, then it can be repaired and will look like new. The dealer scratched mine when they did the front tire swap. I can't tell where the damage was after they repaired it.

I went to firestone to see if they could align my rear tires because the camber id off. The tires are to wide for the machine. The manager wants the car on Thursday because he will have different stuff for that day. Geeeez.
