Hey man sorry to be super lazy, but it's really late and I can't research it right now, you mentioned you threw this in an 03 which I have as well, does it drop right in or do I need an 06 tranny? Thanks, -Mat
it just drops right in, very simple. The motor will also run with the 03 ecu so no need to change the ECU.
If anyone's trying to buy this engine, FYI I tried to buy it this morning, and here's a rundown:
Multiple fraud warnings about this guy trying to sell:
#1 - He's edited an old post to get around the moderator approval requirement in the marketplace.
#2 - I tried to complete purchase of this motor earlier today around 10am. He tried to get me to paypal the money as a gift, rather than as a purchase "In order to avoid the fees."
#3 - Paypal's fees are listed as 2.9% + $0.30 (and they go down from there as a seller sells more). On the $800 engine + $200 shipping, this would still only come to $1029.30. He said that the fees were actually $200 on this purchase and that if I wanted to do this, it was OK, my loss.
#4 - I *did* send him a paypal payment of $1200 (as it was still a good deal) as a purchase - not a gift - and 15min later it was refunded by him, saying he had somebody give him a better offer.
#5 - He's still answering responses like it's still for sale now.
#6 - Tagged as suspected scammer over on evolutionm.net (didn't find this one until later, or I definitely wouldn't have tried buying the engine).
Innocent until proven guilty, but #1 thing - never pay anyone with paypal gift, you completely forfeit your ability to get the money back if they just take the money and do nothing at all.
