I am sponsored by Meguairs and the ECZA frequently gets giveaways and samples for our events. We are also working with Meguiars for a possible detailing clinic for the club.

My concern is what you projected to Meguiars as far as what these products were for. Are they for a raffle or for your personal use?

You might want to check with the ECZA members before using our name to get items. It helps in making sure that the vendors are not getting contacted by multiple members.

We have already recieved a nice item for raffle from at least one Z vendor.

Trust me...that was not meant to be a public lashing. I even said "he had good intentions." I have met the guy and I know he meant well. I wish everyone in the club has his enthusiasm. He just should not have contacted Meguiar's before talking to someone in the club. The ECZA already has a relationship with Meg's.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do. I hope you change your mind about attending the meet. The meets/shows are always a good time with a lot of nice cars and nice people. I look forward to meeting you if you attend.

I apologize if I misinterpreted your language.. but to somebody who is an outsider, it sounded like a very strong reprimand...

and as I said, I agree with what you said... too many cooks in the pot spoil the broth..... just not where it was done...

thanks for clarifying things, as I like to join clubs to meet people who share the same interests but I hate dealing with people who have issues... obviously you're not one of them... and I will plan to attend if my weekend stays free...

 

Well, you'd meet many Z enthusiasts if you come to one of our events. The nice thing is that it's not only Z33 people. We have Z's of all vintages in attendance.

I'm just looking out for the best interest of the Club. I have also deleted my prior post so that I don't offend anyone. It was not my intention to do so.

I am not trying to reprimand him and I appreciate his efforts. I just ask that folks coordinate with us before asking for items on behalf of the club. I have already asked Meguiars for items for this meet. Now when other members are asking for the same thing it makes us look like "******" or that we don't know what each other is doing.

The items he got look like they will be great for folks attending the meet. We hope to have a few nice items to raffle off.

Rmesola..I hope you are still planning on attending the meet.
