This event will DEFINATELY be happening, don't worry about that.
No exact dates, but I am thinking end of April beginning of May, for the Third Semi-Annual Event.
I know we have a lot of interest, we had 19 people show up last time, and that was in subprime conditions (little rain here and there).
STAY TUNED!! Look for more information in the next week or two. I will be posting on several sites, 350Z Motoring, ZGCA, 350ZTech, etc. Basically spamming the 350Z community.

I did buy an Audi RS4. The car freakin' rocks. 420hp and an 8300rpm redline with a V8 motor that revs like a Honda S2000 and sounds like a chainsaw at full buzz. 0-60 is in the 4.2-4.4 range. You feel like you are being shot out of a cannon. The car can also be very civil and luxurious when you want it to be, although with such a powerful AND rev-happy motor, smooth around-town driving takes a little practice.
Anyway...more to the point. I have kept my ZR for now. It will be up for sale at some point, but so long as I have it, I will help to organize this event. My vote is for Sunday, May 20th. Before that it can still be a little too winter-like in the mountains at times, and it is very dirty and muddy during the early-mid spring. I still prefer Sundays as there can still be a fair bit of traffic on the roads on Saturday mornings.
Does this sound good? Mike.....you should definitely take the lead in planning this time however.

I will take the lead, that is fine with me. May 20th is not a bad idea, I was thinking somewhere between the second week of May until just before June. Agree on the weather -- thats why originally I was thinking April, until I realized that there might still be snow up there, and the potential to have ice is over 50%.
I was thinking we would take your route VJ -- excellent route and I don't have the time to go up there and look for another. I still have the directions you provided.
I am just hoping I don't miss that one turn -- going to have to make sure we don't lose people on that this year.STAY TUNED!

Maybe, a couple radios between the lead and tail. Cell phone service could be spotty through the hills and back roads
^^^ Have to log in.
Yes, radios would do well. And yes, cellphone service is spotty at best. Goes in and out often.
If we get the turn out I am thinking we will get, we will probably have to split into two groups and meet up again once we get to Stratton. We have 19 cars last time, and that was fairly tough to keep together. I am thinking we will get anywhere from 25-35 this time, assuming the weather is 100% good. I think that is a pretty pessimistic number too, because we had 19 with a chance of rain, so who knows how many we would have had if it was no chance of rain.

There is one change we can make to eliminte that one tricky turn. Do you want to do it or should we keep it just the same with just some better warnings for people this time?
I'll definitely make a dry run of this sometime to make sure they aren't any major detours, roadwork, etc that have occurred over the winter.
The same route is fine by me. It will be new for many and its not like any of us drive it every day.
With the word really out about this event now and what a blast it was, we could get a huge turnout.
Okay....shall we make it official for May 20th??

If anything I would like to eliminate that one turn. It is pretty early in the run and I don't want to miss people. Can we have a slightly different route but not loose too much of the good roads to change it?
Might as well throw a mini-poll up -- what do people prefer, May 20th or May 13th? I will take which ever day more ppl know they can attend. Are you good for May 13 if we do it then VJ?
