Yeah man, I even called you at 6:40 hoping you would pick up but no answer, so I rolled out.

What a freaking day -- turned out awesome. Pouring rain on I91 then it cleared up quick. 29 showed up...bet we would have had 40+ had people believe me when I said the weather would be fine.

No worries, its going again come fall, and you all better show up this time!!

AMAZING, i went this year cus lasty year i dodged the event due to a lil rain, this time it paid off.

hitting some of the most beautiful perfect mountain curves and hilles at 80mph in 4th gear really gets your blood pumping and pushing my car to the limits was fun.
the first 30 miles or so id say started out as a great cruis, it slowly turned faster and faster as we all got more comfortable. i learned the limits of my car and not only did i learn the limits of my car i fell back in love with it hahaha, not so concerned about straight line speed anymore after today, that was something new.

oh and outhandling an evo and cobra ftw! lold

p.s. Z 2th DR, very sorry for inching in front of you on that last stretch where i passed you and a truck was coming head on at me, i really didnt want to cut it so close to you. (i was in the black Z with the gf glued to the passenger seat)

This is the kind of driving the Z was meant for. It's a quick car, not super fast, but the car can handle. It is just so balanced in all its performance parameters. This is when you appreciate the tight steering, short throw gearbox and center mounted tachometer. Glad you enjoyed.

all it took was this mountain run for me to believe that lol, i was very impressed with the car and quickly became comfortable with it, finding myself keeping pace with everyone in my path and moving further and further up the line. its just a little hard on the legs after 8-9 hours of driving and 400 miles in one morning.

man...that was fun. I just got done washing all the break dust off my car. My whole front bumper is chipped, good thing the kit's coming. Was def nice seeing the look on peoples faces haha.

BTW, who's the black kitted G that I was going at it on the pike on the way back? That **** was intense... good thing we didn't keep going or that cop would a f**** us hard lol.

Z 2th DR - Thanks for the coffee crisp was good! Everyone is saying how you came all the way from Canada, that shouldnt have taken long once you pushed the rocket booster switch - really creative.

Gotta go...order some HPS! Someone start a pic/video thread.

Thanks to all who came, which made the trip worthwhile. It was a blast driving with all of you!!! Everyone was well behaved and there were no mishaps. Seems like everyone had a great time.

Props go out to "Z Tooth Dr" for driving ALL THE WAY from Toronto. Thanks for the candybar. I hope to see you on the Quebec City/Gaspe Penninsula tour in August (http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132232)

Thanks to the New York and Connecticut crews who came out, as well as the guys from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The weather turned out fantastic after all! WOT the whole way on dry pavement!!

The biggest thanks goes out to Speedracer for setting everything up. It was impressively organized. Thank you.

Thanks to you guys for posing yourselves and the cars at the Holyoke Mall for the last shots. Here's just one of them...

Muhahaha ... Someone said it best above ... she's fast, but the way she handled the curves is something to fall in love with. I have 3 inches of clearance and a stock suspension and even under full breaking and pulling the lateral G's on those S Curves I still didnt touch =) I will definitely be along for the next run.

It was a great day and certainly worth the long drive to Springfield. A day in the Z is way better than a day in the office. Congrats to the organizers for putting so much time and effort into "The Run". I guess it was an indeed an international event and I hope you guys got a laugh from my gag MODs. The Flux Capacitor was not working well as I ran out of plutonium, so it took me another 8.5 hours to make the 470 mile trip home.

Thank you for the kind comments and I am glad you enjoyed the CDN goodies.

nicholasm617.....no problem! You had lots of space to cut in.

How many tanks of gas did you use today, Steve? I don't think I could drive over 1000 miles in one day without having to take a nap at a pitstop or something. How did you manage?

Sorry to confuse you but I drove down on Friday and stayed 2 nights in Springfield. I spent Sat. visiting the Basketball Hall of Fame, the museums and art galleries. After the "Run", I headed home and arrived at 11:30 last night. I do not recall how many tanks of gas, but the whole trip was 23 hours in car, 2,000 km (1200 miles) and averaged 9.7 L/100km (Huh?). I unsuccessfully tried to fool a few of you into thinking that CDN cars are faster than American cars as our speedometer goes to 260.

Thanks for making an old guy feel welcome and I enjoyed chatting with many of you about our common passion. As a Z driver since 1970 ( yes Matt, back when the earth was still cooling), the 350Z is by far the most enjoyable. I must admit that I did have my heart in my mouth a few times during the morning drive in the rain but the Toyos stuck like glue and I was able to give the "Tiptronic" a good workout.

Since you asked on how I did it; carry lots of orange juice to prevent hypoglycemia and keep hydrated, food, an empty bottle in case of an emergency personal pit stop, listen to the comedy stations on XM radio and have a GPS unit. What a wonderful piece of technology!

If any of you are coming through Toronto, send me a PM. I hope we can meet again. Thanks Mike for the personal communications......you guys did a superb job!

Safe Z'ing!
Steve

Props!!! To Zmazing and Speedracer for organizing the run.

Props!!! Z 2th Dr. for the longest distance.

Props!!! To those of you who took pixs and vid.

Props!!! To the Enthusiasts and their Co-pilot that came.

And even props to Francis and Matt, proving that Z and G guys; is just not all show sometime they really go..Go..GO!!!!!!!!!

And I almost forgot props to the EVO and Mustang for having enough courage to crash. BWT I did the same thing on a VW cruise, I hope no one gave you guys a hard time.

Alright with all the credit done back to the run.

It was the *****!!!!

Z 2th Dr wasn't the only one with his heart in his throat. A couple of those drops felt like a rollercoaster ride. Those S curves had the my tail sliding out a couple of time. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as me and my second driver. I had to fight him off with the wheel. JK!!! He was getting bored so we took turn driving. You know I'm gonna definitely hop in his A6 when I get the chance to rip up like we did.

Man.. can't wait for the fall.
