Default Not Paradise By My Dashboard Lights!

Some jerkoff almost hit me today. Tried to cut me off driving home. I hit my brakes hard and pulled onto the shoulder to prevent my baby from getting hit. Quickly after I noticed 3 lights on my dash lit up...The red brake light (the one that lights up w/ the e-brake on), my VDC/Off light and my SLIP light. I started driving thinking they'd shut off and they didn't. Stayed on the whole way home. When I got home I shut off my car, then restarted it and the lights were off. Any help guys? Is this something I should take in and get checked out???

im making a guess but im pretty sure your car just went into a thing, most people on the forums call "mode zero"...its just when all the vdc controls and traction control turn off completly, its the same thing that happens when you pull your vdc/abs fuse....so your cars fine

This also happens if you do donuts or big burn outs your car will shut it off.

That's fine, nothing to worry about. It resets itself when you shut the car off. Nice accident avoidance BTW.

It happened twice today, once going to work and once coming home. I've been driving my car pretty hard since I bought it and never had problems, but now this has been happening almost every day...

I've been having this same thing happen ever since it got cold, and it seems to be isolated to cold weather, at least in my case. I took a trip home to FL a few weeks ago, where it was about 70F, and it never happened once, once I got into the warmer climate. I've got an appointment to have the dealership look at it next week, and will let you know what they say.
