Default How can I get my car back

Okay my z is at MRC, since I am here in korea and will only have a chance to drive it again in december I have no insurance and it is not registered, hence I have no plates for it. What would be my options to get it from MRC in NJ to my house in long island NY. I dont want to tow it because it is way to much money for that. Thanks.

What are you doing in Korea man? I miss Korea =(.. Will be there in 6 months. The only way is to tow legally. If you want to do it illegally and take a chance, you should get a plate from another car and drive to your house in Long Island.

Borrow somebody's trailer and tow it yourself.

www.catexpress.com

I'm good friends with the owner, they're located in Jericho. Probably your best bet. I don't know about you but I'd hate to see my Z towed away if I got caught. Cars like ours have a tendency to get pulled over for next to no reason around here.

What ever you do DONT do this... You would be better off driving without a plate. Not only would you get bagged for unregisterred/uninsured. You would also hit you with misuse of plates.

+1, hehe

if you're in korea now, you should check out a garage down there. i believe i remember seeing it on the bus, from seoul to bundang (i took the one from gwanghwamyun). before you hit bundang, on the main highway, you'll see a garage/gas station with about 10 older skylines (R33, R34), all left hand drive. never got to check it up close though, but they had some nice rides.

sorta self explanatory - you need to insure it, register it, and drive it, or tow it.

I check it out. What bus did you take? A military bus or a public bus, do you remeber the number?

Yo man, just drive your damn car. If you get stopped, explain to the officer you've been over seas with the military and you just got home. And have your orders on you. They won't hassle you.

I'm a Cop in the Air Force. I've gotten out of 99% of my tickets just by handing my military ID when I get pulled over.

I drove my car from LI,NY to Cheshire, Ct, unregistered and uninsured. You just have to make sure you take it slow and easy.
