7th Row Center Hands-On! Car Audio Installation School,
to host Second Annual SLAPshow New England Regional Championship

September 6TH & 7TH 2003.

SLAPshow & dB Drag Racing events to be held simultaneously.

Woburn, MA, July 25th, 2003: 7TH Row Center Hands-On Car Audio Installation School will host the Second Annual SLAPshow New England Regional Championships. The event will kick off on Saturday, September 6TH at 4:00 pm. Several manufacturer’s representatives and local car audio retailers will be on hand to conduct Tweak & Tune sessions for competitors prior to the main event on Sunday, September 7TH.
There will also be a neon lighting competition Saturday with trophies for the top five finishers.

The Sunday event will be a SLAPdBq & SLAPdB quadruple point regional championship event with awards for the top five finishers in 11 classes. There will also be at least 6 Best of Show awards. For those who are not into car audio but still have a great ride, you’re covered! How about a quadruple point SLAP Show & Shine competition? Trophies will be awarded to the top 30 Mild and top 30 Wild cars - and 11 more Best of Show trophies. Any competitor who hits 170 dB or higher, will win $50.00 CASH on the spot!

The Sunday event will also host a dB Drag Racing single point event. All dB Drag Racing competitors can earn points for their championship event scheduled for November 2nd & 3rd.

It is going ot be a great show. I hope some Z members will be able to show up.

 

Anyone else thinking about going?

 

I work in Woburn, and I might go, but I have mixed feeling about this.

While I am interested in hearing SQ compeition and learning more about car audio, I do not want to park too close to SPL boneheads due to the risk of hearing loss. The $50.00 bounty for 170 dB makes me question a lack of SQ emphasis.

HIN was pretty fun, but has anyone gone to one of these SLAP shows?

 

Sounds interesting! Not that I am planning to hit the 170 dB jackpot, or anything like that. But, can only confirm towards the final week of August.

We should have around 20 SQ cars. Over 16 Vendors cars. We will be hosting a BBQ and information session on saturday. Tweak and tune. SOme of the top SQ cars in the country will be at the show. Mike Galligan 3 time IASCA world champion is the SLAPSHOW New England Coordinator. He will have his Civic SI at the show and giving full demos. Mike's car ha sbeen feature in over 50 magazines since he first got the car in 1999. Jeff Lamb winner of IASCA Daytona Spring Break will have his Pontiac Gran Prix ready for competition. All the Major car audio vendors will be preste to answer all you questions and show off there demo cars. We are here to help promote all aspects of the 3 sports. SPL, SQ and car show.

 

Is anyone going to meet up for the cookout on saturday September 6th? Will have vendors and free seminars going on and of course free food.

 

The show is on the sunday. The Tweak and Tune is on saturday along with a free BBQ. If you want to learn about Sound Quality or SPL please attend. We are here to help everyone.

thanks for the invite. After a great day at Deb's Z lunch, I stopped by today with DJKERN and checked out the pre-judging tuning day. There were some very nice cars, and the staff working the show were great. Greg even fed us.

Tomorrow is the big show with 200+ cars going for judging. I think if you have time, it would be a good place to visit. The only caveats is don't trust mapquest going there. Get onto 93N and get off on the new exit (37C), then turn right and follow it all the way around the Genuity building.

I would go, but I am going to be apartment shopping.

I'm glad you had a good time. We had 150 cars yesterday. It was a great show. I hope we can get some more people from this board going to some Slapshow events in the future.
