When I said I was going to start a "real" thread, I meant one that was organized, and had a list of members in attendance, times to meet up, and caravan details, among other things. This was before I went to the North East section and saw the thread - clearly marked, I admit - about the official mountain run for our club this weekend. Link: https://my350z.com/forum/north-east/...ober-12th.html

The copy/paste comment was in regard to this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/north-east/...ntain-run.html

That one was the only one I had bookmarked on my computer, so it was the only one I was looking for updates in. I checked it yesterday and didn't see any formal details, so I was thinking it was just someone else's run that we all happened to get an invite to (kind of as an after thought), and wasn't really sparking any great interest to the entirety of our club.

You thought that what I meant by "real" was a failure on the President's and VP's to put together a "real" mountain run. I was merely referring to the outdated thread I was looking at that didn't have any details in it.

I have no problem admitting my mistake. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
No worries.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help make this meet a good one.

How is CT for driving? I have heard nothing but horror stories of how bad the cops are in that state. The driving laws I have heard too suck. Reckless Driving for doing like 80, impounds, tickets, all things nightmares are made from! I just don't want to see anyone get F'ed.

CT people, how about some input on this subject.

Its no different than any other state. If your looking for trouble it can be found.
Where ever you are cops can be bad, given a reason. Hang out on Memorial drive up in Mass or the Berlin Tpke on a friday night the results are the same. Cruising the back roads are not an issue.
Here is some interesting info https://my350z.com/forum/lounge-off-...ts-2007-a.html

I say CT for sure.. ive been driving 3 hours to the last 3 meets and well.. its getting old.
depends on what you want to do but we can do a Berlin Turnpike meet, go for a cruise, get food etc. Or we can do backroads which are plentifull in CT.

That's why I had this idea. We always have to drive the furthest.

I personally would like to keep this a cruise though. I'll make sure there are nice roads for us to have some fun on. I think people not familiar with northeastern CT only think of like Hartford, New Haven, and Fairfield county when it comes to driving, and don't know about the awesome roads in Northeast and Northwest.

So Oct. 18 or 19th?

Are you saying trash my idea altogether and change the cruise to a meet instead? Larry, I thought you were busy til the end of November anyway, so why can't the rest of us just do the cruise?

I would be totally down for a meet off 95 somewhere. You can be in charge of that because you know the shoreline better than I do.

Hey everyone, sorry for being a ghost as of late, but between extended business trips, and local tri-state travel for work, I have been extremely busy.

Larry is 110% right in the fact that we need to further extend our events into CT, and lower CT. I want to extend my thanks to Larry directly, with addtionally adding anyone who travels a great distance to be apart of our club.

Next season will be very well planned out with dates set up in advance (Mid Winter) on our club site so everyone can plan in advance around our events.

Andy, thanks for putting this together, and if my Z is fixed by then I will be attending.

I am going need help from everyone in the club, leaders and members to both grow this club and keep us close. I dont want to see our club die off as it has once before. Ok enough of my rambling lol.

I think mixing up the meets between states will help with attendance. It seems like there is a strong Massachusetts "voice" in the club, and I'd like to see it even out a little more.

I hope we can at least get 5 or 6 of us for next weekend.

There is a very strong "voice" in Mass, CT needs to step up and set up events for our club to attend within CT. This is a great start. Keep it going.
