Since "Anyone2u" is unable to hold the Cape Cod meet he has asked that we join in on the Ogunquit ME meet. There are a bunch of G35 guys from freshalloy.com that are holding their meet at the Norseman Hotel in Ogunquit on 10/11. This is a big parking lot right on the beach.

If you have visited the thread "MA meet 10/11 cape cod" and indicated an interest, let us know here if you are interested in Ogunquit. From Hartford CT it is about a 3 hour ride to Ogunquit. We are trying to get a MA pickup point to meet up with the MA folks. The G35 guys will have a road tour set up for us after the meet.

Thanks for posting this Greg. Should be a great time and unfortunately, probably the last meet this year. Also don't forget that Columbus Day is the following Monday which is a holiday for most people. It is ~ 90 minutes (~80 miles) north of Boston and ~45 minutes for anyone coming from the Z convention in Nashua.

As far as a meeting place in Mass, really need to know the route for CT people. If Mass Pike (90) maybe Waltham? If 495, Lowell? Following is a map:

If your looking for meeting places on 495 there's a rest area in Westford just after the Boston Road exit. Another meeting place is on 95 just over the New Hampshire border.

A couple of us are staying at the Norseman. I personally am staying in Moody at the Wells-Ogunquit resort Motel.

DaveC and I can't tell you how glad we are that the Z guys(and girls) will be joining us. I was 1 back seat away from buying a Z instead of my G. In some ways I like the Z more and can't wait to go cruising with all of you.

For those of you that haven't check out the Freshalloy thread, I spoke with the Chief of Police in Ogunquit and we will have between 20 and 30 Parking spaces cordoned off and waiting for us when we get there. I'm trying to work a police escort to the beach also. The only hitch about the parking is that we will have to pay for parking (everyone in this parking lot has too)

 

David- I'm not sure who else is driving up from here (MA) but I have moved my "sock drawer re-sort" plans to Monday as it's a long weekend. I am looking forward to driving my car up to Maine for absolutely no other reason than to meet some people with similar interests, take some pictures and cruise along the back roads and the ocean. If I'm lucky, the leaves will be changing and the sun will be out. If you want to join me, that would be great and even appreciated. I hope you can make it. I'm coming from Needham.

As far as Track day, I may be in the Rally on that Thursday. My car will be in the shop but I'm going to be in the rally with Steve (Z2thdr) so maybe I can catch up to you there.

Roger, I usually take 495 to Maine so if you guys put together a stop over on 495, I'd like to join in. Just let me know what time you think you will be there.

Gerald, I'm winging the hotel thing. The villages by the sea in Wells are condos that you can get a room at $75 a night and are much better than a hotel in most cases. It is about 3 miles up from Ogunquit on the right. That will be my first choice. When are you going to post pictures of your car. I saw a sneak preview on freshalloy.com.

Who from Connecticut would care to join up with me to the Mass. stop over point? I live in South Windsor and will be taking 84 to the Mass pike and then up 495.

 

Sorry guys, I won't be able to make this meet. My son still has two weeks of baseball and they play doubleheaders every Saturday which end at 1:30PM and I can't stay overnight in Maine that weekend.

I feel really bad about this because this will probably the last gettogether of the year and I really enjoy meets. Hope you all have a great time and can't wait to see the pictures.

FYI, theres a rest area on 495 in Westford just after the Boston Road Exit, approx GPS 42.596 N 71.368 W. There's another one just accross the NH boarder on 95.

There's also a car wash about 2-3 miles north of Ogunquit center on Route 1. They have three or four of the pressure wash bays.

 

Gerald, can't wait to see the final pictures. That is one mean ride you're putting together.

BTW, thanks for taking some copies of the DVD. I know Steve wants one (z2thdr) and I have yet to be able to get with Andrew to get the copies you gave him.

If this meet were on Sunday I probably would consider taking the ride up. How many people will be there on Sunday? The problem with Saturday is that by the time my son's games ends and I pick up my car, head north, etc. I wouldn't get there til around 5:30 PM and I'd have to come back that night.

Let me know who will be sticking around on Sunday and I will let you know if I decide to drive up.

Gerald, I'm going to take a chance on getting a room in Maine. I plan on staying over to Sunday but don't know where yet. If I don't get a room I might head up towards Portland and just come back to Ogunquit in the morning. Oh, one more thing, nobody gets tired of seeing a fellow Z owner show his mods. I know I don't. So Gerald, bring on the pictures!!!

I'll be down in Florida on the 25th. Doing the South Beach thing so I can't make Phillie.

Victor I cleared out my in box but still haven't gotten your note. I recall you had a similar problem once. What did you do to resolve it?

I am 99% sure I am going. But since Maine is a straightshot North on RT.95 from Boston I am not going to be meeting up on 495 since it will be atleast 1hr out of the way. But i'll be up there by 11AM!
