Default Need a good autobody shop

Spun out on the lie service road last night, banged up against the gaurdrail. Front fender, lower portion of door, side skirt and rear quarter are damaged. Also my steering wheel is also alittle cocked (not centered). Do you think i bent my tierod or will an alignment fix the steering issue? Thanks again

How are we suppose to diagnose that without pictures? Post in the regional section for suggestions to a good autoshop/bodyshop and let them tell you whats wrong with it.

looks like you need a new rear quarter pannel and front fender but thos should be around 500 together all the other white marks look superficial and can be removed with laquer thinner and a rag the rear bumper may need a little touch up but should be cheap order the 2 pannels and take them to a body shop have them painted and fix your bumper shouldnt cost more then 1000 total(including price of pannels) i may be missing something from the photos but that should do it. (i work at a auto body shop as a painter) good luck

Do you know what you are talking about? $1500 for parts and labor? If the quarter panel needs to be changed, do you know how labor intensive it is?
Quarter panels do not just unbolt like the fenders. The quarter panels for the Z and most cars are actually the body of the car. In order to change a quarter on a unibody car, it needs to be cut off and that operation alone would yield an average book time of 14-17 hours. Most shops will do it faster than the book time but the question is, are they charging for the actual time they spend on it? or are the charging the book time?

Trusovici, the difference in price quotes you are getting is most likely from the labor rate, material/paint cost (quality paint = $$$) and if the part is repairable. Some shops just wants to replace everything while others can actually repair cars and do a quality job. Whichever shop you decide on, make sure you take a look at some of their work and see if they have a paint booth. More often than not with body work, you get what you pay for.

maybe they charge more in the nyc but in cali if you had the pannels and were able to use a wrench you could put them on your car yourself and have them painted for 500 at just about any auto body shop !

rear quarter im almost 100% that is not removable, i would havto buy a rear clip from a z then cut out my quarter and weld the replacement in its place, alot of work that isnt nescessarily needed. anyway got a shop to do it for 1000. they got a real downdraft paintbooth too, one of my customers father owns the shop. queens village http://jdrautobody.com
