Any of you Northeastern folk know of a place that can smoke the head and tail lights? Anyone done this as of yet? Suggestions?

google VHT Niteshade translucent paint and do it yourself!!! Its really easy, but you have to be careful because the paint is REALLY thin.... I wouldnt go more than 3 coats on any of ur lights especially the headlights..my tails have 5 coats and thats only because a fly did a swan dive into my 3rd coat so i had to sand and do 2 more coats... i dont have the headlights done because i like to see where im goin at night any questions or tips let me know, i did my RX8s too so im a semi-professional rookie at it!

Default Thanks

Thanks so with the headlights did you notice much of a impact on night driving? Was the 3 coats enough to affect the brightness of your headlights?

careful doing this, don't know what NH laws are but if you drive through mass with smoked heads/tails you risk being pulled over fairly routinely and/or tickets. My last car had tinted tails, I was pulled over twice and ticketed once- just not worth it IMO (after learning the hard way).

I have a PPW and had my tails painted by a local guy. He mixes black paint with clear and gets a nice darker shade to them. Looks really good. I didn't get them too dark, but it's definitely different than the original red tails.
