Default Moving to Boston

Looks like I'm moving to Boston. I've never been there and was just wondering if some locals could point out some interesting tidbits cause I'm clueless. Like for one where's some good places to live.....

Welcome to Boston. More than likely, where you will be working will have an impact on where you will want to live. In addition you have to decide on whether you are going to rely on public transportation or be driving to and from work. Condo/apartment or house? Another factor is going to be whether you have kids that are going to be in school. And finally how much you are willing to spend each month. Boston has always been pretty pricey so be prepared to spend quite a bit.

Post your answers to the above questions and I'm sure you will get some helpful advice on where to live.

BTW, we have a really good group of local 350Z owners here so hopefully you'll be able to make some of the meets. Unfortunately a lot of people up here will be storing their cars for the winter so more than likely, the next meet won't be until sometime in the spring.

Like everyone else said it really depends on where you are working. I live in Quincy which is also a nice area with a lot of apartment complexes and condos. Its on the south shore. I am 15 minutes from downtown via the highway (with no traffic). It is convenient to a large mall, and many other stores. If not for my long commute to Marlborough (office just moved from Mansfield) I'd probably like to stay in Quincy for a while. My commute has gone from 30 to 50-90 minutes depending on trffic!

Let me know when you Boston Z people have some events as well. I just got my car last week!

Welcome to the area. As Gerald said earlier, you'll have to come to our next meet.
