Who has an aftermarket/custom exhaust in western ny
I'm going to be getting an exhaust in the spring. Does anyone have an aftermarket exhaust they wouldn't mind showing me in person?

I am far from you but maybe I can help a little.
1. What is your budget?
2. What are you going for? Really loud? Slightly louder than stock? True dual sound or single pipe sound?
3. Have you looked into any companies already? Which ones are you interested in?

I'm looking at a budget of under 1000. I like the sound of stock but its too tame. I need at least two tips and would preffer true duals but I wouldn't mind hearing a Nismo s in person. I've done a lot of YouTube videos and looking around but everyone says you have to hear them in person. I love the motordyne but its 1500 which is a little too much for me.

It sounds like the nismo is a great possibility for you. I have had mine for over 2 years and it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive. I agree, videos do not do justice for exhausts, and although I have heard a decent amount of exhaust setups, I would never trade my nismo. There are plenty for sale used below your budget. The car will sound beastly, but 0 drone, which is a big deal to me. I get compliments all the time for it. Plus it has that stock look which I was goimg for, I hate huge tips on the end. And if you ever wanted to go louder, just throw on hfcs. Good luck!

Will tell you to stay away from the Greddy RS or TI-C unless you want some wonderful drone. Otherwise, the S-Tune is a great one to look at (considering it myself as a secondary setup). The TDX2 was worth the investment personally, and I recall seeing a used one go for around 1300 a couple of weeks or months ago.
Other than the Nismo S-Tune and a used TDX2, the Bassani and Invidia N1 might be worth looking at. Just an FYI - There is someone selling their used S-Tune and some sort of y-pipe in the North East Regional For Sale section.

The S tune sounds like a good one to go with. Is an aftermarket y pipe something I would want or need with a Nismo set up? I thought it came with a y pipe

If you are DE and need a Y-Pipe for the S-Tune and are low on cash, I highly recommend the HR stock Y-Pipe. I have heard it is not much different from the Nismo.

That guys nismo S tune (without the y pipe) sounds good but I've been doing some research and from what I've read the Y pipe is restricting anyways. So a good priced motordyne might be something i'll look into. Any other suggestions?

Recommendation would depend on how you want the sound to be. For a light, slightly louder tone than stock (throaty as some have mentioned), then I would go with the S-Tune and if you want an unrestricted Y-Pipe go with the Motordyne - However, try and find a used as the new ones run $300+.
If you want a louder tone than the S-Tune, I would recommend waiting to see if a TDX2 pops up on the marketplace. Expect to pay $1100-$1300 for that, though. If you like how the S-Tune sounds, by all means go for it. But if you feel like you'd have an itch for a louder tone, would recommend thinking about your options.

Tried to search classifieds but all previous threads were edited. If you don't plan on using the modular options other than the straight pipe (hfc and resonator options), I would consider an alternate Y-Pipe. Many choose the Motordyne XYZ pipe (y pipe) because of the availability of those interchangeable components.

Same, I appreciate your help. The nismo S tune I was looking at wasn't up to my ocd standards so still waiting for a good used exhaust to pop on the market
