Anyway, here is a map giving an overview of the approximate route. Mapquest automatically determines the fastest route (which is along Route 195 in this case) but I will try to determine the funnest route in the next couple of months.
That all sounds good to me, except for the fact that I hate Lobster
But I love clams..
Nice pics BTW, I actually took pics of my car in that exact same spot at this exact same time of the year after I picked up my car on 1-20-03, I called out of work and drove down the Cape.
Here's a nice pic I PS'd with the Buzzard's bay Brigde in the background. I PS'd it to exaggerate the scenery.

This sounds like a great "excuss" for me and the wife to drive up to the Cape...my family has a house in North Eastham just past Orleans...I will keep an eye on this thread as the time approaches but I'm pretty sure we'll be there.
Looking forward to meeting more z people and their rides.
Frit-z
This may be blasphemy (sp) but I'll bring some burgers cause I don't eat any seafood (others may not as well)...I know I get enough crap about this from the wife but I just don't.
Anyone coming down to the April Atco NJ meet?

Roger, Any non Mass people will probably want to know the best way to get to the start point. I used to go through RI to get to the cape but its been about 10 years since I went . Is there a better way to go? The spot you picked looks great for a meet.

Thats a good point.
Many of us will be coming from that direction so I am sure we can arrange a meeting place near the 95/495 intersection that will work and will give us a little extra cruising time. I'll suggest something as we closer to the date or if anyone else wants to, go right ahead.
David, I like that idea. I'm wondering if anyone that comes from southern CT might take 95 up through RI. We will need to figure out the best way for people from all directions so they can form carivans on their way up.
CARAVANS TO THE CAPE - I definitely think that we'll have to organize caravans to drive down to the starting point/meet area. I'm in the Boston area and I know there are others up this way so we can ride down together.
FOOD - I'm not a big seafood lover but I do enjoy some good fried clams. Frit-z if you wanna bring along some burgers that's fine by me (and to other non-seafood fans).
THE ROUTE - Isn't route 6 one of THE best scenic routes down the Cape? I think I've seen it mentioned before. Roger, maybe we can take that route?

Greg, I think the RI route is the best way for us CT folks to get to the starting point. We could probably take RTE 6, but it would take much longer and there would be a high probability that we would get seperated.

For all intents and purposes in regard to this discussion, the only people that would head in the direction of the Sagamore Bridge are people coming from/through Boston and the South Shore. The road leading to the base of this bridge is Route 3.
Anyone coming from RI, CT, NJ, etc., and for most parts of MA, would head toward the Bourne Bridge. The road leading to the base of the Bourne Bridge is 495, sort of. I say "sort of" because at the intersection of 195 and 495 South, the road actually changes "names" to Route 25 (and then Route 28). You would never know it because the road is completely uninterupted, but I feel I should point this out for anyone looking at a map. Speaking of maps, here's another one to try and illustrate what I am talking about.

I was also planning on grabbing some steamers as well as having a BBQ for burgers, hot dogs, etc.The Route This is completely open. Someone was talking about how fun the roads are around Southeastern MA and I just threw that out. Today one of my coworkers mentioned Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth and said the roads in there were a lot of fun and not much traffic. Route 6A is fun also, but it can sometimes be a little slow with traffic as the Cape is really starting to get congested. We've got a little bit of time before the meet so I'll look at a couple of options, as well ask around.
Jeff, I'm open to route 6 just as long as I prepare with a map and have someone's cell phone.
Roger, I was looking forward to a clam bake/lobster bake on the beach but if we decide on something else I can adjust.

Boy, with all these great meets being planned looks like I could slack off and not have to put a Connecticut meet together this year.
BTW, besides Roger and Rick (spydr) are any of you MA members coming down to ATCO on the 25th?
Gerald is really challenging daking350 so that in itself should be fun to see. Plus there will be at least a couple of twin turbo cars there.
Click on the "350Z Connect" in my signature as Gerald did a funny banner to promote this meet.
Hope some of you can join us as we are now over 100 cars coming and we still have 3 months to go. Even Terry (Mapleleaf) and Steve (z2thdr) from Canada are coming down for the weekend.

Sorry I'm a little late to this thread but some other great locations that are more central and easier to get to then the cape to consider would be Marina Bay and Wolloston beach. There is a great Marina area and some cool places to eat. An outdoor club/bar/restaurant called Waterworks (and other regular places) and a small boardwalk. The Wolloston beach area has a very scenic beach strip (~2 miles) with views of the Boston skyline (as does Marina Bay) also and parking all along the beach area assuming we can get there early enough to snag it. These would be excellent palces for a meet or second meet if you guys are already set on the Cape for this one. I think its much more centrally located (10-15 min south of Boston) and easier to get to also (off 93). Did I mention the Patriots party there and Tom Brady has a Condo there?

Any comments? Unfortunately I don't have pictures but to me seems like a nicer location then the pics posted earleir.
