That is one reason i left NY and moved to Texas. There are many other reasons but car laws suck. They are following suit with Cali. NY state law states no aftermarket exhuast, but that is at the discretion of the officer. Ride hight you can pretty much do what you want but don't go too low due to pot holes and frost heaves. Tint i am sure you know the laws there. Forced induction as long as you can pass obdII read you should be good. Most inspectors will check for cats so it would be a better idea not to run test pipes. GL and happy modding.

Pretty much whats @rusty said I put d2 on my HR and is a pain in the *** driving around but is so worth it I love the way my car looks and when it comes to inspection you can always find a nice mechanic that can pass it for you for a good tip 🙊

As much as I know, as long as you have a catback exhaust, you should be fine. Tints are also a no no, but **** it. I have tints anyway lol I just roll my windows down whenever I see a cop. No warning lights, leaks, etc.

Just curious which section of Buffalo? Because as I recall from growing up there the roads are pure $hit especially after a harsh winter. Unless you live in a good area like Amherst, or somewhere else in the suburbs.

It is all about discretion. I chose to get the Nismo exhaust since it wouldn't attract the wrong attention.
However, I do break the law by having 15% tints all around with the windshield tinted as well, plus I drive with no front plate. I figured if I get a ticket I get a ticket, I will pay it. For me it is worth the risk since I think cars should not have front plates, it just looks SO MUCH better without it. But, you have to pay to play, understand that there is a chance of getting tickets and you have to be prepared to pay the fines.

I live in buffalo and the roads suck which is why I keep stock 17" wheels on.
Nys police and local cops don't like loud exhaust here. I have been pulled over too many times for that so I sold it. Not worth the hassle, you should never take your cat off as you won't pass inspection and it's illegal punishable by very harsh penalties.
If you're in buffalo send me a pm to meet up there are not many people here.

Nothing on my car is stock! Never had a problem with local authority! Buffalo road is pretty nasty, but Amherst, Clarence, Williamsville are pretty good. Just have to remembered which road is bad and avoid them.
